ESPN is talking about us a lot. I know there are only three AL games today but were getting a ton of attention. Stuff about the division race (these guys need to get in the "now", we arent in a pennant race anymore, this is a DIVISION race), stuff about Thomas 2000th hit (theyve given that much more attention than they did 400, which I think is the bigger feat) and they even showed an interview with Jerry. It was kinda idiotic. Basically, "if we score more runs than they do well be fine" kinda crap. JM did not impress me...

I think theyre gonna surprise us. I dont want the Sox to let down at all against Anaheim or Texas...

I really think we needed a sweep to put us up by a game. That woulda been very nice. Now the closest we can get in this series is 1 GB. And then we go to Oakland who could very well sweep us and put us outta the race. And I wouldnt be so optimistic about Anaheim and Texas. Those are two teams that arent going anywhere but could jump up to bite ya...

Manuel really screwed up tonite. Garland gave up one freaking hit in that inning and he was about to go up against Tucker, who if you ask me is one of the weakest hitters in the lineup. So instead he brings in Schoeneweis and you all know what happened after that...

Thats truly horrible. I cant believe this. But one thing I dont understand is why the beam pounder drunk was thrown out. The way you describe it he wasnt doing anything. I think they should. This is "Most Valuable Player". Baseballs a team sport but this is an individual award. Its not the "Most Helpful Player" award. Actually, this kinda sucks. Its based now completely on stats and nothing else. Ya dont see Rafael Furcal or Robbie Alomar (who made one hell of a smart baseball play today) winning MVP. Its always Bonds, Sosa, and the other big guys...

No one cares when I do. Ill try to start but itll just suck. OK, this is one game that Jerrys blown. Ill give ya that. Go count how many Rick White has blown. TB for one and then he sucked in game 1 at KC. There have been others this season too. If Marte had said what White said during a losing streak, Id be fine with it. But pitchers with ERAs of over 6 shouldnt call out the manager of a team that is winning. I dont support Manuel but White was definitely outta line...

Im sorry but Maggs wont win MVP no matter what we do. Carlos Delgado has 31 bombs and 107 RBIs. His team wont make the playoffs but that doesnt matter. When you do as well as hes done, youre definitely the favorite to win the MVP. Didnt Sammy win the MVP in 1998 even tho McGwires Cards went to the playoffs? Please correct me if Im wrong...
