  2. QUOTE(Kalapse @ Jun 11, 2005 -> 04:43 AM) I want you all to go check Roy Halladay's stats right now, please. Halladay lost to the Cubs right? He has 2 losses correct?
  3. And remember Francona played for the Cubs Just kidding. If Garland continues to stay as #1, he will be picked to start. If Joe f***ing Torre was the manager, I wou;d have serious doubts because that loser would start Randy Johnson and have idiots liek Kevin Brown on the AS team
  4. Crap Mike Edwards gets out....still tied at 5...Dodgers miss big opportunity
  5. QUOTE(Buehrle>Wood @ Jun 11, 2005 -> 03:21 AM) Born and raised. Born to be wild....
  6. QUOTE(ScottPodRulez22 @ Jun 11, 2005 -> 04:29 AM) Whats the score? Tied at 5-5
  7. Yes he should all star game at Tigger stadium...no doubt about it
  8. We should have traded Jon Garland to the Angels for Darren Focking Erstad :finger
  9. QUOTE(knightni @ Jun 11, 2005 -> 04:26 AM) It was the Padres Sox-r-us... Yeah yeah same thing ...those possy NL teams.... :banghead
  10. DBAcks can eat s***.....focking bastages Great game by Jon. Despite some hiccups late.....the man gets to 10 wins
  11. For us out of towners, another game we can see
  12. Since 1997. I remember those early Ray Durham days well
  13. QUOTE(Steff @ Jun 10, 2005 -> 01:00 PM) Can't you post non game thread information in the appropriate place..?? Your point is correct Steff, but did you also notice the next 10 posts after this? What has Bill Mueller, Johny Damon, Scott Boras and Playboy have to do with the game thread? Pot calling kettle black? :rolly
  14. QUOTE(robinventura23 @ Jun 10, 2005 -> 05:11 PM) They also have a 4.5 lead on Minnesota for 1st place!!!! Wild Card Standings Team W L PCT GB Minnesota 35 23 .603 - Texas 32 26 .552 3.0 Boston 32 27 .542 3.5 Toronto 31 29 .517 5.0 New York 29 30 .492 6.5 Cleveland 28 30 .483 7.0 Detroit 27 30 .474 7.5 I am happy that the Indians and the Tiggers are kinda barely alive for the wild card too. This will help when they play the twinkies since they will not roll over and die. Ofcourse that also means they will not die against us but we have proven that we can handle our division until now.....the twinkies have not proven that.
  15. I wish we had simply traded Paulie instead for Pods. We would not have to get Dye that way, and we could have simply signed a Timo Martinez kinda 1B. Lee in LF, Rowand in CF, Pods in RF and Everett as reserve OF/DH. Maybe we could have played Everett at 1B by letting Paulie go too....
  16. QUOTE(nitetrain8601 @ Jun 9, 2005 -> 07:37 PM) Look sox-r-us, all of us would love to have A-Rod, but a trade for him is unrealistic unless we are giving up half our team. I don't know if JR would take on that much money. Our team would have to be sinking for the Sox to make a move like this. I know it's unrealistic but a fan can dream can't he?
  17. QUOTE(RockRaines @ Jun 9, 2005 -> 09:14 PM) wait I forgot that you were talking about the A-rod trade, that was pretty far off the reservation.
  18. QUOTE(JimH @ Jun 9, 2005 -> 08:32 PM) The only one who does a really good job with all the what if trade stuff is beck72, because he does a little research before he starts a new thread. How much a guy makes, his injury history, and Sox mgmt's trading history with that guy's team are all big factors. Example ... today in the paper KW came out and basically to forget about trading within the AL Central, it just doesn't happen. How many Tony Graffanino threads did we have, and yet no one seemed to catch on that the Sox and Royals haven't made a deal since 1987. Further, it is not too hard to look up what a guy makes. If it's a huge salary I doubt the Sox are interested, save the new thread. This recent Mike Cameron thread is a good example. Further, KW and Guillen have both said if anything, it will be smaller complementary additions. I can see role players being shifted but any of the starting 8 position players, highly doubt it. If there's an injury all bets are off. Jim If you look at my Arod thread, I actually detailed out all of the hurdles. Obviously I said it was almost impossible it would happen, but I thought it was worth discussing especially on an off day.
  19. QUOTE(DBAH0 @ Jun 9, 2005 -> 07:38 AM) At the deadline, the Yankees are never going to feel as if they are out of it. If they are behind, they trade for someone who can help them put them back on top. Matsui is going nowhere. He means to much in terms of merchandise in Asia etc., and they were working on a long - term deal with him in ST and he wants to stay. Sheffield one of the best OF's, once again going nowhere. Randy Johnson, that's a good one. AGain, tell me. If the Yankees want to trade for someone, who do they trade in return to get him???? They have 0 prospects AGAIN (unless you count Wang, but he is on their roster right now and I doubt he sustains his goodness in pitching)
  20. QUOTE(YASNY @ Jun 9, 2005 -> 07:37 AM) Kenny's never been one to think about dismissing an idea without at least checking it out, if it's one that he thinks will be of help. That is why I have this tiny hope it might happen
  21. QUOTE(YASNY @ Jun 9, 2005 -> 07:34 AM) I seriously think this is an extreme longshot at best, and reallistically damn near impossible. I wouldn't put too much effort into supporting one point of view or the other on this issue. I hope Kenny spends a lot of time thinking about this though.
