  1. Baltimore no hitter disappeared at the same time almost... Next ten days are massacre city.
  2. Might as well convert all concession items to gummi bear relish instead of ketchup and mustard.
  3. Not to mention his foot was on the bag and he gave up trying to hold it.
  4. Daniel Norris hasn't gone five innings from 2019-2022. Both times he came up short were 4 2/3 against White Sox tonight and three years ago. Shut down by the guy who lives in a van down by the river. Predictable.
  5. How do you spike him when he already committed to going in head first...?
  6. 85 pitches, weird they didn't let him at least start the inning but Lopez has been nasty recently.
  7. Can just imagine Greg775 getting mad about Kopech being pulled...
  8. Doesn’t matter with that offensive core, shaky pen, defense, catching, TLR. 1-2 in Cy Young might not even get them to first place.
  9. Hats off to whoever predicted in April that TB/BALT would be the most compelling storyline tonight… See neither offense has shown up. The Tigers have already set so many records for different categories of offensive ineptitude over the last fifty years…
  10. Thats because the Angels couldn’t find a team to put around Trout…
  11. What a start to the morning here in China. Of course Berrios was fantasy starter for Toronto. Oh well, kudos to the Guardians.
  12. At any rate, they now have a lot of payroll flexibility for 2023 that they didn’t previously have. Steve Stone Sox spin would be that they couldn’t count on him to stay healthy…shoulder subluxations, etc., and Tatis refused adamantly offseason surgery to address that injury. So it was still going to be a lingering concern. Which means Preller will simply double down and go after Correa or Trea Turner, who started his career with the Padres. Or be fired first for not doing due diligence and exposing Padres/Seidler to that long-term contract obligation.
  13. Obviously I am referring to the so-called White Sox championship window. Did we already forget about that? As far as Tatis jersey sales in Chicago, no earthly idea. San Diego only has one baseball team, and they still have two superstars to market, but tons of disappointment and disillusionment to get over. As for the White Sox, as Southsider2k5 asserted today, these 2020-26 years were that perhaps last final massive opportunity to reclaim or simply claim Chicago back from Cubs’ fans. We haven’t had a superstar since Thomas. Sale was close, but there’s just something different about an everyday position player. Bryce Harper was the best call, looking back now.
