  1. Hahn and JR seem more like Monty Burns and Smithers more and more by the day.
  2. Haven't seen Lemonis associated with Sox sale in ages.
  3. And Giolito/Hendriks not much longer with this team... Lynn absorbed in conflict with Stone over his weight like the issues he and Caray embroiled with on Northside. Benetti clearly on his way out, too. Look at the body language of Pollock and this year Benintendi compared to last. Robert hustling controversy. Clevinger is just trash. Injuries injuries injuries... seems 1/3td of the team doesn't have any joy playing the sport at all... which is typical of losing teams. No chemistry at all like 2020 and first half 2021. Burger really seemed like the only uplifting story surrounding the team...Hamilton again for a brief blip.
  4. Machado Soto Bogaerts failed to drive in from 2nd/3rd with zero then one out to tie... still not getting enough clutch hitting for such an expensive payroll. Might see Ian Hamilton again today... 7-7 tie in Tampa after the Yankees lead 6-0.
  5. Zero point to hold onto Lopez, Grandal, Bummer, Graveman, etc. Probably hold onto most unlikeable in Clevinger, but a parting of ways there would be far from shocking on either Sox or player side. From a leadership viewpoint, Hendriks definitely has value, but not worth what they're paying on a non-competitive team when they can just roll with the likes of Santos Middleton and Lambert, at least until his arm falls off.
  6. That family already had money/independence and they were never going to be bullied into a team-friendly deal..
  7. We're there with a seat at the table for Wheeler and Tanaka lol... always finishing with second and third tier guys with Clevinger so typical. We do trade for second tier guys who supposedly are having onto first tier status and actually end up closer to third... Shark Shields Lynn Clevinger, etc. Then there's the Rodon and Cueto one year wonders.
  8. That max was this past offseason... now it's merely a salary dump.
  9. Like the James Shields and Samardzija trades?
  10. https://www.fangraphs.com/leaders.aspx?pos=all&stats=bat&lg=all&qual=y&type=1&season=2023&month=0&season1=1871&ind=0&team=0&rost=0&age=0&filter=&players=0&startdate=1871-01-01&enddate=2023-12-31&sort=10,d&page=1_30 White Sox have connections to six of the Top 50 All-Time MLB OPS leaders Manny Ramirez Frank Thomas Jim Thome Fernando Tatis Jr. Shoeless Joe Jackson Albert Belle Six currently active today, including Trout Judge Yordan Alvarez Tatis Soto and then Votto...who's nearly retired.
  11. https://bleacherreport.com/articles/2932139-which-mlb-team-has-uncovered-the-most-elite-international-talent From two years ago now...but things haven't changed dramatically for the Sox since then...sliding backwards to mediocrity even in this previous area of excellence under Paddy with almost no significant Dominican star power. Were ranked 9th at that point... mostly on the backs of Tatis and Abreu, as well as Robert Jr. 1. Boston 2. Cubs 3. Guardians 4. Atlanta 5. Seattle 6. Twins 7. Mets 8. Houston 9. White Sox 10. Dodgers
  12. Cards moving Willson Contreras off catcher to DH and corner OF. Not getting nearly enough offense from the outfield... especially Burleson.
  13. Jimenez and Moncada have pretty much been written off. That only leaves Vaughn Robert Cease and maybe Kopech. TA7 Hendriks and Giolito are living on borrowed time. No different than 2016... except the value of talent is roughly 1/3rd or most optimistically 1/2 what it was with Sale/Q/Eaton/Abreu/(Tatis).

  15. Farquhar was announced as pitching coach of the Winston-Salem Dash, the Class-A Advanced affiliate of the Chicago White Sox, for the 2020 season.[33]
  16. We have Jay Cuda and a newly-emerging statistician this year for that particular info...
  17. That's where most are now, seemingly...anything below 60 wins and highest 2024 drafting position possible.
  18. Forecasting a complete turnaround of the organization? It certainly can't be Hahn bringing in a new team... or God forbid handing over the keys to Getz.
  19. Possum attack? Racist tirade by Duane Kuiper provokes PTSD?
  20. Would have just banked that money to cover "losses" for this season. God knows how much is coming back from insurance payments as well...but would Lloyd's of London cover any Sox players after the past 2-3 seasons?
  21. Then the Adam Dunn 2011 excuse forthcoming...they're not going to be able to give tickets away for free the rest of this year... except to Cubs' fans.
  22. Especially on a corner...
  23. Detroit a full 5 games up on the White Sox now after destroying Mets and Cardinals...
