  1. Meanwhile, Sox season low/high of 34 games below .500 on the year now...
  2. Almost unlimited concessions (except for premium/exclusive items like Campfire Shakes) are built into ticket prices. Yes, free. Augusta National justifiably gets praise for its $1.50 pimento cheese sandwiches, and the Atlanta Falcons have a fan-friendly menu that lets you fill up on gameday essentials for about $10 a head. But the Bananas have them both beat; every ticket entitles you to as many Cokes, hot dogs, burgers, chicken sandwiches and cookies as you can cram down. (Ice cream, alcoholic beverages and other items actually do require payment, but a reasonable one.) ADVERTISEMENT “We would rather people feel like they’re getting just outrageous value, and tell others about that, than try to nickel-and-dime them in the short term, and they feel like, 'Ugh, I just don’t know if I could do that ever again,'” team president Jared Orton says. That little tweak — fold the food into the price of a $35 ticket — is part of what’s making the Bananas so popular." But it seems very few are actually able secure tickets now for just $35-40 because so many are going onto the resale market for $150-500 and up. Maybe those prices are higher outside of Savannah GA as well? Because that's a very middle class city except for "old money." https://www.chicagotribune.com/2025/08/15/photos-savannah-bananas-chicago-rate-field/
  3. "In 2023, Jesse Cole's worth was estimated at $4 million, resulting from his team's success..." Probably $5-10 million now with this pace of expansion into four teams to allow even more dates across the season. Better investment though would have been putting the same amount of into a WNBA franchise 2-3 seasons ago. Would have experienced a 5-10x increase in value.
  4. 11 consecutive wins by KC at home seems like a trap bet
  5. It's not about brains lol... It's knowing JR won't spend, the labor impossible looming and having to rely on trades rather than FA acquisitions. The next excuse is the White Sox getting screwed again by the 2026 draft lottery afree missing out on so many young position prospects in 2024's draft. Or not getting anything in return for Luis Robert and letting him go to cut another $18 million more off $140 million in accrued debt.
  6. Dodgers and Mets/Cohen can't buy baseball. Go Brewers Guardians Reds Mariners, etc.
  7. Sure, but what does it say when almost every single player upon leaving gets torched? Lynn Graveman K.Middleton Tim Anderson Jimenez Moncada Vaughn Grandal Madrigal Keuchel (but somehow not Clevinger lol)
  8. Have the Sox said anything positive about any position player to leave the organization since Jose Abreu??? Hendriks is the only pitcher that comes to mind.
  9. Yeah, minus Teel and Baldwin...nobody misses Benintendi.
  10. Bretton Woods conspiracy!!!...well, the irony is that the stock market is exactly where it was a few weeks before so-called "Liberation Day."
  11. JR rooting for him to tank the last six weeks to save another $18 million next season...
  12. https://www.forbes.com/sites/tonyblengino/2025/08/12/andrew-vaughn-is-latest-example-of-brewers-elite-player-development/ Even Forbes is writing in depth about Andrew "Greg" Vaughn... First half of season w/ Sox suppresses his arbitration estimate for next year...
  13. Entertainment products. Brewers win 10-8 btw. Crazy.
  14. Bananas win 3-2. Maybe all the Sox players need to show off their guns like the Bananas' 3B. First sell out of season at G-Rate.
  15. Yes, I mean what is the local ratings share for both games head to head.
  16. Which almost no scout agreed was his long term position. Watch Mason Winn and compare how many outside he register on arm strength alone. Meidroth is serviceable there.
  17. Would love to find the tv ratings for Sox vs. Bananas tonight but JR will probably try to keep it buried...
  18. Frazier on a tear recently. KC almost back to .500 again.
  19. Who may or may not have cashed in the minority shares his father owned for a long time...but probably fighting with his brother, just like they did over their father's collection of baseball memorabilia/autographs.
  20. Rojas...in all seriousness, nobody else comes to mind. Maybe Sheets, but he was more of a platoon guy. I remember back in the day Joe Borchard hardly getting a half season's worth of at bats and was equally hyped to Vaughn. The difference was those were competitive Sox teams for the most part.
  21. Sox can't win at KC or Texas. 0-11 0-10 Yankees' writers already complaining about the advantage CLE has playing the Sox more frequently in division.
