  1. Something about "and the ladies will love it too" at the end wink wink
  2. Fed up with dumping contracts...half measures...getting left behind by Milwaukee and now the Cubs. Collapse of the Arenado/Goldschmidt teams. Lots of youngsters like Jordan Walker scuffling. Dumping some of their long time studs like Helsley whole scuffling around the .500 mark go for most of the season felt like White Flag trades. The leadership change in the front office isn't being all that well received either. 29% fall in attendance 2025 18th 29000 2024 7th 36000 2023 4th 40000 2022 2nd 41000
  3. Was everywhere in Osaka and Kyoto last month...only Dodgers and Yankees hats were ahead, arguably. Korea, same thing, Taiwan as well.
  4. No longer the case with their new media rights deal, which the NBA negotiated to their own advantage due to the controlling shares in the W. Look at the value of Golden State, Conn as there are already two competing buyers, LA, NY Liberty and the Fever. They've all gone from tens of millions a decade ago to the top franchises now being worth between $300-400 million. Three more teams being added and another 3-5 more on the horizon.
  5. But everyone remembers the tagline...
  6. TOO many flares to RF. Too much topspin on his tomahawk swings.. resulting in 75-100 fewer career homers. Poor defensively. Terrible thrower...especially to second or almost never third. Couldn't bunt. Not a team player, stats first. Not clutch in the post season. Poor personal finance history until the last 10-15 years or so. Not as exciting as Auburn teammate Bo Jackson. Failed at being an NFL tight end. Best hitter for the first 7-8 years of his career (without PEDs) than all but those guys like Ruth Gehrig etc. Seems Montgomery comes out on top.
  7. Burger? Although he never was ranked as highly in the Top 100 only to fall completely out of it due to his performance...rather it was the back to back Achilles' injuries.
  8. Tim Anderson was 17th....and had a very disappointing sophomore season.
  9. More Cubs' drama on the basepaths tonight...could suddenly be six games back with the Brewers streaking.
  10. Imagine if Miguel Vargas hit that ball...alas Schiffren is not bros with Colson and his father.
  11. Seen quite a few lists of FAs for next year and Civale is in the mid to late 40s and Houser's not even listed. Fedde might even get more...possibly.
  12. That was like a McGwire Canseco Pasqua Borchard bomb...
  13. https://padresmission.com/news-rumors/san-diego-padres/david-morgan-is-off-to-a-strong-start-but-can-he-keep-it-going-r2468/ Cool story about undrafted kid from a college nobody's ever heard of becoming a key member of one of the better bullpens in the game. Another guy who throws 97-99 in that pen, to go with Suarez M.Miller Morejon Estrada and Adam (soft tosser).
  14. He's not a fast runner and will eventually grade out around average to slightly below at SS and likely a lower batting average due to selling out for power...but sure why not? It's going to be a period of adjustments for both pitchers and Colson. Nice to see a Sox hitter as a rookie getting some intentional bb's.
  15. A lot of the same body language as Pollock and Benintendi before deciding he was no longer going to take losing every game the second half last year. The shoulder shrugs, slow jogs to first, head down, flailing away at low and outside sliders much like Robert…we can argue the Sox put the pressure on him to be the next leader and PR/community relations symbol, but he wasn’t really all that interested in embracing that role. Sox should have done more background on his psyche/personality at CAL. OFC winning solves 90% of clubhouse and so-called chemistry issues.
  16. Weapons should be the movie everyone is water coolering over…
  17. 9/42 for Braden, one Xb hit (hr), 17 k's, 3 walks
  18. 214 .553 Braden, AA was always going to be
  19. Slider Slider Slider. Don't change Luis. Looks like the Brewers are going to get to 47-16.
  20. https://www.yahoo.com/sports/article/sell-team-fed-fans-passionate-100453487.htm Ryan Noda quotes...about time with A's, Sox mentioned as well
  21. https://www.statmuse.com/mlb/ask/rank-every-mlb-team-by-era-for-th-2025-season Very simple. They have fallen from 17th to 23rd and almost 24th in ERA during the last couple of weeks. Badly need someone like Martin Perez to step up with nobody left in the minors.
  22. The way the Brewers run themselves and the research they do on people, personalities -- that goes into a lot of what we’re seeing right now. Power of friendship, right?” Trevor Megill told the newspaper. “We’ve got a college-minded coach at the helm and I think a lot of our guys are just that gritty, tough, and we go and get after it. I think that’s our biggest strength: A lot of guys that like each other and a lot of guys willing to put their body on the line every night.” Amazing what the Power of Friendship can do… pic.twitter.com/IbO48dN0vm — Milwaukee Brewers (@Brewers) July 22, 2025 In a subsequent story about the Brewers’ success, again in USA Today but this time written by Bob Nightengale, Megill used the phrase again. “We’re going to start wearing 'Power of Friendship' T-shirts," he said. “Then people can start recognizing who we are. I mean, people were freaking out last year when we won 93 games. Maybe they didn’t think we could do it again." mlb.com
