  1. He was so brilliant not to get tricked by Boras into signing Conforto, though.
  2. Apathy has set in. No energy to even start up a chant with this putrid offense.
  3. Really don’t think pushing Lynn up when his velocity is questionable makes much sense. Will just get reinjured.
  4. By the way, great performance in front of such strong crowds this weekend. Almost always the case where they underperform. Would be first series win for Rangers in Chicago in 8 years. But you just know Menechino firing will be the news next week to protect TLR.
  5. Imagine being in the AL or NL East…haha. Mets with Vohen mega budget, then the Phillies are somehow losing ground to Atlanta because the Braves simply refuse to lose now.
  6. Gray has always had great stuff but questionable mental approach. A lot like another OU product, Alec Hansen. These days, just need a plus heater, slider and to be right-handed to shut down Sox.
  7. You have seen what the Yankees have done to the Cubs this weekend? Clint Frazier sacrificed to protect Heyward…and Madrigal with two RBIs in over 100 at-bats. Stroman a miss and Suzuki still out. Well, you’ve got Happ and Contreras for another month or so.
  8. Not sure that will get 21 likes. Although I did receive a chocolate penis cake for a gag gift in high school, good times!
  9. TB up 3-0 over Twins despite two runners out at the plate and 3B in one half inning. Sox trying to avoid being 7 games back in the division for the first time all season. Guardians already won, so they will be 3-4 GB at the end of day.
  10. Burger is not a 2B. Let’s put an end to that, at least.
  11. So now Lynn and Kopech with knees. What’s the next body part to go for this franchise?
  12. That’s not exactly a high bar to clear for a team with championship aspirations…
  13. Once AGAIN, right knee discomfort. Official. Please change thread title to correct injury.
  14. Twins have Jeffers/Sanchez. Padres are maxed out on payroll and holding it for an outfielder. Nola and Alfaro have been average/okay. Mets already have big McCann deal. Yankees are prioritizing defense and have more than enough offense. SF has a young guy in Bart and won’t block him. With all the lingering injuries the last two years…not seeing it. Never hurts to try to run him through waivers to see if there’s any interest. And in the end, they wouldn’t be willing to meet the price for Contreras after the Kimbrel trade blew up last year in such a high profile way.
  15. So who in God’s name is going to start the Detroit game if Cueto pitches today?
  16. Johnny Cueto will be making only his second career relief appearance unless he’s just getting work in. 334 career starts.
  17. Johnny Cueto will be making only his second career relief appearance unless he’s just getting work in. 334 career starts.
  18. C’mon! Really? So now when he inevitably cools off again you want credit for reverse “jinxing” him?
  19. Burger seven game extra base hit streak up to MLB leading seven consecutive games. Konerko franchise record at 9. Paul Waner and Chipper Jones all-time record at 14.
  20. The funny thing is that Cueto, VV and Martin have collectively done better than anyone would have predicted but the oitching is still below average overall (partly due to Keuchel as well.)
  21. Traded Narvaez for Colome
  22. Guess we’ll find out soon enough. Fold this into other thread.
  23. And it continues. Kopech was furious being pulled, too.
  24. https://www.theguardian.com/sport/2006/apr/11/golf.tigerwoods Had to beat Balta to it before you were excoriated.
