  1. In just 2022 or since the beginning of 2021?
  2. Once again, I was only talking about their "home" series last August, compared to this year's ongoing one. 25-11 outscored is quite the dramatic difference between Field of Dreams iconic walk off and two 2 run losses any way you slice it. The two teams were considered peers then. This is master and servant. We don't even belong on the same field with them now.
  3. Might be able to work him into the starting lineup today. Perhaps?
  4. They won the most memorable game of the entire regular season. Much better than 1 of 4 or getting swept four in a row. White Sox scored 17 runs, the Yankees 20. Two 2 run losses is nothing to be embarrassed about.
  5. The White Sox did just fine against the Yankees this past August. Seems that both teams did opposing 180s this offseason, though. The White Sox had a much lower payroll than NY at that time. Now with a Top 6-7 payroll we're totally non competitive against the Yankees or Astros.
  6. The Yankees have how many WS titles these last twenty years? The Dodgers? One each. And LA's was in the strange abbreviated 60 game Covid season. There does need to be a salary floor though.
  7. If you were trying to get max value out of Gio, this year is the time. There's the conundrum. Only Robert, Vaughn, our Top 3 starters and maybe Moncada could get you something...but Yoan needs to prove he can stay healthy and produce. It's certainly not like we can trade guys like Hendriks or Grandal or Pollock for anything but some salary relief.
  8. The patented late/r game comeback where they give Sox fans just enough to tune in tmrw despite Keuchel pitching.
  9. It's not like we didn't shout this to the rooftops all offseason long. Dump Kimbrel off the roster by buying out the option cheaply and at least offer the QO to Rodon.
  10. Yes, but it took Buxton half a decade to get to where he is and he's finally coming into his game just now. He has MVP talent...maybe not the speed tool to dictate games to opponents by stealing bags, but they will eventually give up on him and he will be a star somewhere else. Just watch.
  11. 11-2 Twins over Indians. Royce Lewis first career homer, a grand slam. Polanco and Gary Sanchez starting to heat up.
  12. Jimenez and Madrigal sure. Moncada jury is still out on. Vaughn and Robert look fine. Pitching looks fine. It's all the veteran crappiness that Hahn has surrounded it with.
  13. There were no goal posts. I said what I expected to have with our limited budget and future commitments. But sure I'd like to have Machado at third, Rodon, Harper and Moncada playing GG defense at second base. I try to live in a non fantasy world. We just had one meeting with Boras and Harper in Vegas just to feign interest for the sake of season ticket sales. And we all know the Machado deal had a poison pill just like the one recently tendered to Gio. It looks good to non sophisticated fans, but it was never going to be accepted ultimately.
  14. JR is owner. Our biggest contract in history is roughly half what the Guardians gave Ramirez. Sure I also believe we will give $275 million to Judge and he'll be injured for the next 5-7 years. The White Sox will never change under this ownership. Be realistic.
  15. I care about actually having a competent defensive RF who can put up at least a 750+ OPS. LH or not.
  16. Except for a UCL tear so he's yet another expensive Sox DH right now. Machado on the other hand is leading the NL MVP race.
  17. I think we've now reached or attained the textbook definition of "mired in mediocrity"...especially for an upper tier payroll. (Other than the Top 3 starters and Luis Robert.)
  18. With DH Burger at second... (We also could have used Sonny Gray instead of letting him go to the Twins.)
  19. After not taking advantage of 2-3 free/additional outs...one a tailor made DP ball off Robert's bat.
  20. Pretty soon Moncada will be in Machado's price range, so there's that to look forward to.
  21. You forgot defense to add health, defense, manager/managing and lack of fundamentals/execution to the problems list...
