  1. Can't disrespect our veteran leaders. Only Leury can replace him in that spot.
  2. Moncada still possesses warning track power it seems.
  3. Riverwalk used to be quite clean/safe at least in the late 1990s.
  4. Have to cover four innings again...and it's only action run game with the next two not looking promising so we probably need to use pitchers who matter. Cancel that. Now we definitely get the trailing/losing bullpen guys.
  5. Guess Davis Martin has pitched well enough to elevate himself to "next man up" status, for whatever that's worth. Great PGA golf name, lol. Kade McClure seems to have been "consigned" to the bullpen for now.
  6. FA soon. He would be injured 75% of the time it the White Sox gave him $250 million.
  7. It's going to be another 83-87 win team out of the Central...mostly because the Royals and Tigers are so atrocious. And massacred in the postseason yet again. Cease had a 7.71 ERA in two previous starts against NY and it's only going up. Have to rely on Gio and Kopech in the postseason...if he's actually still available. And if they rest Kopech too much they risk missing out on the playoffs altogether.
  8. VV and Keuchel will surely help. They definitely need to add Cueto, especially with Lopez ouchy. 8 k's but 5 runs surrendered slightly more important...plus it runs up the pitch count obviously.
  9. Spoke too soon. Maybe TLR had him deliberately get picked off lol.
  10. Well, at least he got the two runs and Anderson can lead off next inning. Worth the tradeoff.
  11. Failure to execute again from Engel. Need those two runs. Badly.
  12. But his overall game still provides solid value, 0.9 fWAR. Certainly not the near superstar he was acclaimed as...Travis d'Arnaud has been a very solid contributor to the Braves as well.
  13. White Sox once again fail to advance runners in these 1st and 2nd situations.
  14. Contreras, Sean Murphy maybe, definitely Realmuto but another massive contract...
  15. When is the last time Heyward had a 4+ fWAR? Well, one thing is for sure, they're not going to want to pay him $24-25 million the last two years of his deal unless he's closer to his 2019 offensive production. Which means at least 850+ ops in this current offensive environment.
  16. Need to scout Tampa AA/AAA teams. If someone came up like Gil and had three consecutive outings without a run surrendered they'd be practically guaranteed a spot in the Sox rotation for the next 3-5 years. But he can't even break through with Severino back.
  17. Pitchers always have the advantage in these situations...nothing new. Especially with FBs that get in on you faster than expected.
  18. Well the Cease "Top 10 fWAR but unlikely to shut down top teams" tag is unlikely to change like this.
  19. Suspect. That said, trading him to a larger market club who can take on that salary risk and write it off...means we somehow likely ending up facing him in the playoffs. He's basically like David Ortiz in his late Twins' career...well, hopefully minus PEDs and future sicario hit job attempts.
  20. Same 1979 Cubs/Cardinals at Wrigley. Before Ozzie Smith was traded for Gary Templeton.
  21. 34-18 long ball advantage across the starting lineups to NYY.
  22. Nobody has a good answer for Yordan Alvarez.
