  1. Vaughn is not particularly scared but unlikely to get a shot here.
  2. No no no. The fact that he has such a terrible arm led to the Yankees getting too aggressive...trying to take advantage. Shout out to Pods and Juan Pierre.
  3. Waiting for "but he's still the best reliever in baseball" Stans to come out of the woodwork. Most overpaid this season so far. That said five out saves against the Yankees never going to be a cakewalk.
  4. That was dumb dumb dumb by IKF. Inexcusable error by Yankees.
  5. That's why I did something else more productive to save wasting 2 1/2 hours of my life where either a blowout or Sox bullpen implosion seemed two likeliest outcomes.
  6. What's the scoring rate of leadoff walks in the 9th? 65-68%?
  7. That's way too conservative. $40-50 million is ideal. Would have been close with Kimbrel.
  8. Definitely not Musgrove, Taillon or Glasnow. Cole was going to be great regardless.
  9. Almost never going to be an easy win for the White Sox this year...
  10. If the Pirates had only kept their pitching staff intact along with Marte, Reynolds and Hayes and Bell they might actually be winning the Central.
  11. They really need to bring in McGuire for the 9th. It's nuts to rely on catcher who can't block Hendriks' pitches or throw pretty much any one out to save his life. Hendriks to make matters worse seems wholly disinterested in preventing runners from stealing at well and is slow to home plate to boot.
  12. Bottom three hitters for NY next inning. Can we please forget Kelly's playoff numbers and salary and just put Graveman in the 7th and 8th where he belongs?
  13. Nice that we just give Rizzo third base there. Not like there are two outs or anything.
  14. So on brand for the White Sox. White Sox must be happy Keuchel is getting closer to pace for 160/162 IP. And now they're going to burn Hendriks for an attempted five inning save...this has about a 33% chance of going LaRussa's way.
  15. Well, they definitely weren’t on a tear offensively and didn’t face stronger teams except for the Angels…well, I suppose it also depends upon one’s take on the Red Sox. But they were hardly dominating opponents like the Yankees and Astros. That’s fair to say,
  16. With that growing range of versatility in emotions expressed....wince/groan, stoic indifference, tears....his future career in telenovelas and MVs is virtually assured.
  17. What is the percentage of Yankees' fans these two games so far?
  18. Considering the fact they're getting their asses kicked all over the stadium this year...you can describe it however you want to your heart's content. Nobody thought we didn't belong on the field, that's for sure...most asserted the Sox were the better team at that point, still basking in the glow of the Kimbrel trade and the fast glide to the ALCS.
  19. Eric Hosmer seems to be taking out his anger at being counted out by all of Soxtalk to the extreme this year.
