  1. McEwing has zero confidence in the offense. It's hard enough to win without having to overcome the coaching staff, too. Harrison and Haseley hitting next lol? Great lineup construction.
  2. Great shorthand pick by the catcher on the bounce...from Kwan.
  3. Have to get the lead with one swing...putting together a string of hits with this lineup?
  4. One more hitter...of course, Mendick will pull hook a homer to left first. Pretty clearly aiming. Down to upper 80s. Gose will be in for next batter.
  5. Indians' announcers complaining he's (Tristan) not as sharp as past starts...only 56% strikes. Already calling down to the pen.
  6. Wouldn't have many one iota of difference with Tony's lineup...
  7. If it's not bad enough with Houston owning the Sox, they basically gave Straw away because he was superfluous. With CLE, he gets an extension.
  8. They won't push him...66 pitches through 4, doubt he even sees the 7th. Going to have to be a combined across 3-4 guys...Shaw and Clase at the end.
  9. Both RBIs on hanging breaking balls. At least Lambert manned up and kept the DH from getting entirely out of control. Had the feeling the offense was going to be putrid so here we are...getting no hit.
  10. Definitely not Keuchel with his salary...unless he becomes intolerable in the clubhouse. Leury warning track power. Yeah yeah would have been a homer or double somewhere in the summertime.
  11. By these swings, looks like McKenzie is at 98-99 and not 92-93.
  12. Well, the rule of days like these in Sox history pretty much require a roughly 2 hour 15 minute rain delay to add to the agony. All we're missing is Ranger Rongey testily jousting with fans during a prolonged rain delay theatre.
  13. Robert is the only one that comes close...still more based on potential. I guess we're not the Reds or A's? Even the A's are playing with much more spirit against rivals with the underdog/written off team of all-time.
  14. This game is now a race against impending rain showers to get through the top of the 5th... Arias keeps hitting the ball to the SS position...
  15. Better than 50/50...Windy with a steady rain in the morning. Showers continuing in the afternoon. High 59F. Winds SW at 20 to 30 mph. Chance of rain 90%. Higher wind gusts possible.
  16. Listening to the Guardians' TV announcing team will be more tolerable for this one... Sheets' swing really looks long still. Broken bat flare.
  17. They arguably have the best rotation in the majors if Cobb is suddenly at 95-96 with Driveline assistance.
  18. Might be able to outdraw the Indians, too. Well, at least the A's and Rays.
  19. That current DH lineup would struggle against some of the best AA and AAA lineups with Lambert starting against an established big leaguer...
  20. Whatever dude. It's 3:23 am. No sane Sox fan would stay up the whole night with a workday looming for this...since Game 2 will be starting at 630-700 am anyway at this rate.
  21. And how many expressed concern throughout the entirety of the off season? This team still should win 90 in one of the two weakest divisions in baseball...barring another pitching injury...but it's hard to still call this team elite with a straight face.
