  1. Benetti still off more often than not anticipating homers...oh well, can't get everything right.
  2. If Banks and Sousa can become a good (and healthy) replacement for Jace Fry and then Crochet as the second lefty...that would be a massive win for the 30th ranked farm system.
  3. Feels like the 2012 pen...where we had something like 12 rookie pitchers come through most of that season. Along with Q most famously out of nowhere.
  4. Well, that was fortunate it was crushed pretty much right at Jimenez...
  5. How many teams go two deep with Top Ten caliber lefties? I suppose we could have attempted to entice Andrew Miller out of retirement...
  6. Changes of scenery can often work wonders. Matt Thornton and Jenks immediately come to mind...kind of like a career reset.
  7. He just needs a 625-650 OPS and that won't be hard if you look at the back of his baseball card.
  8. Harrison and Anderson didn't help him out much in that first inning. Off speed stuff much more effective, more curves and his velocity increased to 97 touching 98 as the game went on. Didn't look to be under any duress...calm and poised as a cucumber with a man bun can possibly be.
  9. Well, until former batting champ TA7...need another hit out of La Pantera.
  10. His defense alone is worth 5X as much as Collins to this team. Vaughn with the double against the righty and wiped out by tough lefty. Nobody can hit this guy so far, though.
  11. Of he could do that in the 6th and 7th with Sox holding 1-2 run leads he would be revered...
  12. Did Ruiz always throw this hard...seems like he has picked up a tick or two. Now who gets the 8th? Guess another argument for not overspending on the pen in Ruiz...but still need that veteran savvy in Graveman and Kelly. At any rate, that's arguably the most impressive Ruiz has looked...
  13. Bummer has been scary almost every time out this year...not even sure he's available today.
  14. Harrison other than that throw has been really solid on def but still .143 was more like his offensive output from 2018-20. Should have pulled the trigger on Escobar. Oh well.
  15. Ramirez actually made a decent play there finally to not stretch out too early...
  16. Great play at second...looked like it was getting through.
  17. Better swing than expected from Garcia but right at LF... Harrison needs to get a clutch hit here.
  18. Jimenez continuing to put the ball on the ground... Greg775, did you see that oppo swing to beat the shift?
  19. Prime Karkovice couldn't have done anything there with that slow time to open from the long arm action out of the reliever...but nice to see Luis aggressive and uninjured.
  20. Phillips has a really good arm but too deep. Need some execution here from Grandal.
  21. The big problem is you have no one for the seventh in a tie game that can really rely upon...just guesswork with the pen other than Graveman. Luis in a bit of a mini slump but not striking out much and has an opportunity to wreck havoc on the basepaths.
  22. Kind of had a feeling that was coming.. two balls that could have been strike 3 and Margot barely ticking the slider.
  23. But he was 3/5 against Ray and didn't start in that particular game...I guess because Ray is left-handed? So basically veteran Leury's first hit of the season >>> Burger carrying the team.
  24. https://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2022/04/no-structural-damage-to-byron-buxtons-injured-right-knee.html
  25. Way too early to make any assessments based on ten days of play….
