If you watched Hendricks closely this year, nearly every single save has been a high wire act like Colome two seasons ago. And Liam now has that red flag out there with the forearm tightness. Plus, he's older. Both probably suffering from overuse. Finally, Hader is much more familiar with the NL. And Hader gave up three homers in basically one inning of the same game 2-3 weeks ago. Finally, how do you sell the fanbase on competing next year with Graveman, Kelly or Lopez closing? Hahn would look like an idiot yet again.

Does anyone really believe Hahn would engage in such long-term thinking? You don't trade a highly compromised asset for fifty to seventy five cents on the collar.

See 4th and 5th round picks in there from Yanks, international signings, etc. Meanwhile, Sox rarely even get their first round picks correct, let alone later rounds.

Also can only play LF and not well. So the Sox would inevitably stick him in CF or RF. Keep him away from strip clubs and "too rich for most everyone" fantasy baseball as well. Plus you're definitely gonna get never-ending target Joc Pederson now. But a formerly big name. Well sorta. 3-4 years ago would have been exciting.

Won't cost much? Why? When every team is searching for pitching and Rodon, Mahle and Syndergaard the three best remaining options along with Lopez?

White Sox wouldn't get 2/3rds or even 1/2 of that package for Hendricks because of the unique salary and tax structure, health concerns, age, and gopher ball issues.
