  1. Probably accounted for by Luis Arraez bats alone.
  2. See the “under the radar” success of Jeremy Pena pretty seamlessly replacing Correa at SS.
  3. They have been stuck ping ponging back and forth between +1 E and -1 in the standings for days and days now.
  4. https://www.yahoo.com/sports/have-the-twins-found-the-next-moneyball-style-trick-to-win-in-mlb-011548831.html Debate/discuss...
  5. Watch the play Wong and Urias combined to make yesterday around the bag...changed the complexion of the game.
  6. At that point I said 93 wins, you said 109. I offered to let you lower it down closer to the midpoint, 101-103. This is not close to being the best team in the history of the franchise. Most talented collection of individuals, perhaps, but with Grandal falling off the map, Moncada slumping and Eloy MIA, not sure how we can even say that's true. It's TA7, Robert (when on the field) and maybe Vaughn. That's not nearly enough with the numbers our so-called complementary players are posting. And I was one of the few a month ago that was worried about the Twins. Not just because of their next 9 remaining games on the schedule, but because they're playing so much more loosely and actually having fun, just like the 2020 White Sox (until the final two weeks or so of that season...when they suddenly got really tight.) That team had comeback after comeback in them and battled you until the final out. This version goes in prolonged slumps where they look like they will never score another run again, especially hitting with RISP,
  7. So you're sticking with that numbers for the bet? I offered the opportunity for you to lower it to make things more interesting.
  8. Hendriks sitting quite some time...
  9. Can Pollock make him pay?
  10. Moncada 3 for his last 38. Even the Red Sox announcers think there absolutely has to be something wrong with him. Completely out of sync and bad body language.
  11. Well considering he's universally the best SS in the majors after 40 games, hard to imagine any other grade, especially after this past weekend. 21,705 official attendance, fwiw. Lots of no shows with the weather.
  12. Have to get Vaughn out of RF whether he gets on base or not.
  13. Light rain falling. Great.
  14. This season is turning out to be more like a season of Survivor: AL Central...pretty incredible that the abbreviated spring training and cold weather in the early season led to all of this.
  15. Hamstring mouthed by trainer.
  16. Who are your corner outfielders then? AJ Pollock? Engel? Colas? Leury? Not like this next FA class is stacked and we don't play well there anyway.
  17. Did we give Chris Getz a three year extension as well for his efforts?
  18. They had 22 balls last night hit at over 95 mph.
  19. Building around Eloy they better do it fast because it's easy to imagine them not picking up his option years if he can never stay on the field. ..... Meanwhile, Jean Segura has an 806 OPS. How many times was that name mentioned? Nobody believed they would stick with Knebel at closer.
  20. Bloopers and one hard hit ball by Martinez. Pretty much the opposite of last night. Wacha and Keuchel tmrw...at least nobody will see that unless they keep it as a night game for attendance. What's the start time?
  21. For nearly a decade the Sox couldn't touch veteran soft tossing lefties. Nothing should be shocking. We are also one of the worst teams in the majors against off speed pitches, for example.
  22. When natural outfielders make that play at 1B you know you're in trouble. Seems pretty clear Eloy wouldn't be capable of the same. Just never fluid in any of his movements.
  23. But if you remember Sosa is his two years he was way too undisciplined to completely change his style of hitting overnight. Did Hrniak gel with any Latin American players on the Sox at that time?
