  1. I wouldn't expect Sheets to start out with more than a 600-650 OPS in RF. Which leaves him basically a little bit below Eaton, and probably a notch lower defensively. Not to mention the salary investment in Adam this year. That said, Engel is going to be under pressure to hit as well as play defense, since we're missing those two pivotal cogs in our offense.
  2. We will not see Seby Zavala this year, barring a ton of injuries.
  3. The Blue Jays and Astros are each scarier than the Angels...
  4. Cleve now with runners on 2nd/3rd, two outs in 6th, clinging to a 3-2 lead. Defense letting down M’s.
  5. Looked at my phone while out for an “escape” walk...GameDay app says Mercedes, out/s. Then trying to figure out what kind of play Merrifield made to gun down Moncada. Oh no, we’re going to screw it up in extras, Hendriks doesn’t do well in tie games, etc. Or we’ll send Ruiz or Marshall out there. Remembers the best opportunity with Davis’ offspeed stuff is a Grandal is walk or WP. At the same time, nearly, the A’s were scoring against the Twins in a similar wild pitch scenario to take the 7-6 lead in the top of ninth. Positive, Minnesota fans spared another extra innings heartbreaker. And thank God for TA.
  6. Thought they jinxed the inning by showing someone in the crowd with a Josh Phegley jersey, lol. Staumont not available?
  7. Why does every single game come down to Leury in key situations? Barely made contact.
  8. That was center cut, just a bit high...have to make contact somehow.
  9. Have to take advantage here. Stating the obvious, lol.
  10. No 6-4-3 DP or K here Yasmani. That was strike two. Two in a row...haha.
  11. Braves at 7-8 now after trailing Brewers 8-0. C’mon, bring back the Yerminator!!! Thank god this isn’t the 2013-15 Greg Holland.
  12. Or turning a 10 1/2 lead over the Twins to 5.5. Hard to imagine getting swept...even on the road, without Berrios/Buxton, but stranger things have certainly happened.
  13. Against largely average to below average or abysmal (Detroit) teams. Last year we practically ran the table on DET and KC in twenty games.
  14. The defense hasn’t come through late game as well...seems like 40% of these blown leads had extenuating circumstances.
  15. Without Mercedes hitting, we’re reduced to the middle of the order and TA/Vaughn being dangerous. just kind of a disjointed offense. We crushed Happ last time out, so hard to expect an easy repeat...even if JA is old and LH.
  16. We need to right the ship soon, because these next three series will be much tougher...and even Baltimore’s offense and Means can be tough.
  17. Of course, if that was the White Sox on D, it somehow drops in there...
  18. Inside...huge swing in the count. Can’t get fastball in the zone.
  19. Just don’t dive into first this time out. Holland drifting off to the left with every pitch...control out of whack.
  20. Note to Hahn: We need a veteran arm as the bridge in the 7th if it’s not going to be Kopech or Crochet.
  21. 10 blown leads in the 7th or later now. How is that a single for Merrifield to Abreu? Not sure exactly what Bummer did wrong there, but still collects his third blown save.
  22. Please, no!! Benetti calling another warning track ball there by Grandal...too early. Really can’t take this anymore...will go to sleep and hopefully good news upon awaking.
