Who plays LF tomorrow? Have a feeling it might be Hamilton...
-
92-93 mph changeup...filthy.
-
Jesus, Gonzaga ending was insane. Looks like Crochet’s velocity is a bit down in the early season...
-
Odds we give up 1-2 runs after blowing golden scoring opportunity?
-
Need to get TLR to stick him in for a couple of innings at catcher for that spot’s positional eligibility...better not though, he’d probably get injured tempting fate like that.
-
Vaughn definitely is pressing...playing in front of friends/family, still looking for that first hit.
-
If that’s what it takes to light a fire under Luis’ buttisimo...
-
7/7...craziness continues. Why didn’t I pull trigger and start him on fantasy team, aiyo?!
-
CB Bucknor almost passed out in Milwaukee, then the athletic trainer for Brewers had to be attended to...also saw it in NCAA tourney game.
-
Kenny Williams is due for a table flipping, because Hahn would never do it.
-
And Moncada sucks again...
-
It would be nice if we had just some garden variety “catching the baseball type persons.” Also, hot take: Luis Robert just planted a seed of doubt in retaining his CF GG.

Love the fact how he was trying to blame there being fans down the RF/1B line for Eaton missing that ball last night. Stone: “Well, anything’s possible...”
-
And, of course, since it’s the White Sox...error is compounded and results in two runs scoring.
-
That’s the worst since the Keystone Cops and Beckham had the ball land near the mound on a popup. Kudos to the Angels’ runner for not giving up on the play. Sure to be a SportsCenter highlight.

They really want me to participate in the next Sotheby’s HK auction, lol. Who knew ST was such a niche market for advertisers?

This was actually our last essay topic in English class...as well as a controversial new law in China that requires a 30 day “cooling off” period before getting a divorce. Students are more interested in social topics than anything else these days. When the average SAT score is 785 on math and IB 42/45 for ninety students, you have to invest a lot of time and effort in critical thinking essay/speaking skills. We just had 94 students get into Illinois out of a graduating class of 425, but that was the backup choice for 95% of them. Almost all prefer UCLA, UCSB and NYU.

Yeah, he’s toying with the Twins. Totally different lineup without Cruz and Donaldson in the middle, though.

Well, it worked well for a certain resident of 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue, but when you live outside of the country for basically fifteen years, you do tend to meet more “local” women, especially in a country of 1.4 billion. That said, men outnumber women in China by a 6 to 5 ratio...which means you need to have at least $75,000-$100,000 saved for a house downpayment or you’re unlikely to find a suitable marriage partner.

https://www.bbc.com/news/world-asia-china-56343081 There has been criticism of a viral and unverified size chart indicating how much a "BM girl" should weigh according to her height - one example given was that a woman with a height of 160cm should weigh only 43kg. ..... "There is a popular Chinese saying which means 'a good woman cannot be over 100 jin' which is about 50kg [110lb]," Dr Ke said. This new BM style trend involves mostly teens and twenty somethings taking pictures of themselves fitting into children’s size clothing (the smaller, the better) from fast-fashion stores and posting picture after picture on social media...

Where are you from? And you’re forgetting Casey’s General Stores brand pizza, lol. Basically, you could be describing any state going west from Ohio all the way to Denver and SLC if you remove Chicago and Indianapolis...which also gets made fun of. After having lived in Kansas City for nearly a decade, you can only take so much of long commuting, bbq, fountains and everyone wanting to go to the Plaza when they visit. That basically just leaves Minneapolis and St. Louis as “decent” cities. Chicago is one of the great cities of the world, but there’s absolutely nothing between there and the Iowa border. Iowa is mostly known for friendly people who are (or used to be) willing to do anything for their neighbors...that’s one thing the Midwest has always had going for it. But when I come back to the States to visit, it seems everyone has gone from size L to XXL.

That said, you can understand trying to get at least 5 IP and the win for Keuchel as we near the back two spots in the rotation and anticipate relievers getting equal numbers of innings to Cease and Rodon. If it would already have been a 1-2 run game, that thinking might have been different. You can also argue that it should have stayed a three run lead if not for the Eaton miscue. We had at least three official errors in these two games, at critical moments, then Moncada blowing the DP ball and Grandal not blocking the ball late as well. Feels pretty fortunate to be a split at this juncture. Suffice it to say, the defense has been far from crisp, and that will or should get cleaned up as the season progresses.

https://www.espn.com/mlb/player/batvspitch/_/id/31086/alex-cobb Remove Billy Hamilton’s 0/7 and we hit nearly .500 against Cobb.
