One would guess Covey and Tilson are coming up...talk about being bowled over with excitement. Well, at least Dylan has earned another shot. If he flops, maybe they’ll give a couple of starts to Beck just to see what happens...nothing to lose. They already know what they have in Santiago and Volstad.

Let’s not forget that last “over the top” free agent class in 2014: Robertson, Cabrera, LaRoche, Bonifacio and Beckham...or our Rule 5 guys like Nieto (also 2014) and later Dylan Covey. Of course, when they sign a veteran catcher, for example, Alex Avila was terrible with us (he did walk a few times) or someone like Austin Jackson, they later go on to be productive/suddenly healthier elsewhere. Derek Holland (another fairly expensive deal for a rebuilding team) immediately comes to mind, he’s been serviceable with the Giants. About the only examples running against that trend are/were Swarzak and Kahnle. When your main development victories are Matt Davidson, Yolmer Sanchez and Leury Garcia, you’re going to be in some trouble.

You were just complaining about corporations having too much power...so you want to take away the right of consumers to sue AND simultaneously not allow the government regulate them? Aren’t you simply enabling them to become more powerful? More monopolies and oligopolies who conspire to limit choice while raising profit margins? What limits on corporations/profit/greed should be there? NONE?

I thought the right was supporting Israel in all ways...shouldn’t more Jewish people working in the media and protecting Netanyahu be a good thing?

Rabbit said one thing that’s correct. Point #4. Trump’s consistent 35-40% is largely becoming more and more entrenched in their beliefs (deep state conspiracy, Trump would be the greatest president in the world if “he was only allowed to do his job,” evil liberals and the media aren’t treating him fairly). Obama is the one who originated this identity politics of war by “declaring war against those who cling to their guns and religion” and apologized for “American Exceptionalism” and Trump is finally making the country great again, etc. The problem with that narrative is that you’re eventually going to drive those in the middle to come up with a better solution...some sort of compromise that sides with the idea of “doing the greatest good for the greatest number of Americans.” This group would move to form a block with the Dems on gun control and health care/education policies and to the right on other policies such as immigration, foreign policy and fostering entrepreneurship/start-ups. Even if you believe that Obama was an operative for BLM and his sole goal was to divide blacks from whites with the mission of reallocating benefits away from white males to minorities....there’s still no way to believe (if you’re being objective) that the goal from the very beginning of the Trump Administration was to divide, distract and conquer by discouraging those on the other side to just give up and acquiesce instead of mounting a vigorous response. Of course, Trump’s also quite smart in the sense that he soaks up so much air in the room that the Democrats have barely been able to break through in getting their own agenda out in front of the public. Not all Trump voters are “deplorables,” but it’s also not just a few “goofballs” or confused young kids...those with overtly racist beliefs number in America number in the millions, not just a couple of 100,000 in only Deep South states.

Bullying accusations gaining support from others...of course, athletes or coaches would never admit to bullying or hazing https://www.yahoo.com/news/santa-fe-high-school-student-202330470.html

Cue Greg comments on publicizing killer/s in 3, 2, 1....well, for one, the Parkland students are going back into the media spotlight again, that much is for certain. And, because of the hotly-contested O’Rourke/Cruz race, they will have yet another CNN town hall, last time the Florida governor ducked it, we will see what Abbott does. Also not sure the NRA is ready to trot out Oliver North to defend their positions quite yet. Let’s not forget Sutherland Springs...happened so close to LV it always gets overlooked, this is two for Texas in the span of less than one year.

Quite reminiscent of the Columbine kids, Harris and Klebold...

https://heavy.com/news/2018/05/dimitrios-pagourtzis/ checks all the boxes...Nazi insignia/iron cross on trench coat worn at all times despite Texas heat, bullying victim, was once an honor roll student, father supports Loesch/NRA, access to guns at home, social media postings about guns/violence/born to kill, white/middle class background, seems parents were separated?

There was also the attack on the mosque in Quebec City (6 Dead) as well as that incident on the train car that killed two in Portland...

It will be an interesting decision for those two teams if Mize falls out of the top spot...

The ONLY reason I'm not 100% convinced it's Madrigal is because Hostetler has such strong connections to the Atlanta area and Bart COULD be the choice there...but I'm still not convinced.
