Couldn't take it anymore and went back to sleep. Woke up at 6 a.m. and Gimenez was in the process of blowing the sac bunt, and then the double to lead off the bottom of the 9th. Still amazed Thornton survived...well, really, it was Crain that bailed him out. Battle of two teams that are equally bad and neither really deserves to win, except for the starting pitchers.

Reading a book centered around Nick Franklin's minor league season for Clinton in 2010...he just had a big confrontation with Mike Trout's Cedar Rapids Kernels squad. Interestingly, coming out of high school, Franklin made the Team USA squad and Mike Trout was cut.

Once again...opposing base-runners taking advantage of the Sox with their aggressiveness. Can't blame that one on Gimenez, though. He at least tried to block it.
