2025 Old Sock Drawer
Sheets has gone from a 35.3% hard hit percentage all the way up to 52.6%. OPS nearly 200 points higher than last year.

Some good news (we hope)...
Kopech was arguably the biggest blow to the rebuild when he went down...Dunning at least allowed them to trade for Lynn, who was good for about as long as Grandal before imploding.

Who else does he have? Vasil? Rule 5 as closer and best starter? More Getz magic. Hats off to Houser's first two starts though. More trade bait.

Sox don't even have the right to get celebrated on for a walk off.

Well...hard to watch but Sox like a train wreck late and close.

Yep. A lot more insightful than Schiffren. Almost impossible to catch that backhanded and sliding into the wall.

Mets leading majors in one run games. Just believe they can and will win in these situations since late last year. Sox 5-21 on road 19 blown leads. Abysmal one run record.

Meidroth not running. From 22/23 to 5/8 success rate stealing against Diaz 2024 vs. 2025.

Alonso was walked intentionally...

Rojas just can't hit any more. Meidroth hit streak on the line.

Hitters on an 0/25 stretch now against opposing hitters.

Got out of it...but odds aren't in their favor with Diaz lurking.

Of course...hbp.

Taylor missed cut off man and allowed Nimmo to move into scoring position. Acuna way too fast to throw out. He'll probably argue he had momentum behind the throw and thought he had a chance.

That breaks the cardinal rule that non-contenders don't need closers...but hard to believe they can win close games without one to instill confidence.

Nobody has stolen on Booser yet this season, on the plus side. Lindor in a massive slump. Mets have scored something like 29 runs their last 12 games.

Catcher wanted up and away....Booser pulled it down and in.

Definitive article on Ryan Fuller/O's hitting philosophies
“We talked about not reinventing who Colson was in two weeks, but reaffirming who he is and what he does best,” said Fuller during a Sunday morning interview session. “We saw some things movement-wise that just wasn’t matching up with what he does when he’s at his best. So that was the performance staff, the biomechanists, everybody working together, to say when you are at your best, here’s how you are moving, and every day we can inch closer. “Leaving there was great physically, mentally as well. We got to talk about mindset, go out to dinner every night. It was a great experience, and to see him go out and have success and have fun and look like himself again, that’s how you want to draw it up.” Fuller also discussed the ongoing excellence of catcher Kyle Teel, the No. 2 White Sox prospect and No. 28 overall, per MLB Pipeline, who carried a 31-game on-base streak into the Knights’ Sunday night contest, as well as outfielder Braden Montgomery (No. 4 White Sox, No. 38 overall), who launched a walk-off two-run double for High-A Winston-Salem Saturday night as part of his vast first-season success. Fuller even highlighted Ryan Galanie, Double-A Birmingham’s third baseman, who has an .895 OPS over 168 at-bats, as an early-season surprise from the system. Scott Merkin mlb.com

GT Get out the brooms! Sun 110 pm Rangers/Sox Martin Corbin
" I have a feeling he is not going to hit, will make errors at SS and there will be calls to DFA him." Agree? It's taking years and years to move on from Andrew Vaughn or an Oscar Colas, so not sure why Colson would be any different.

They're not going to DFA a consensus Top 20-30 MiLB prospect after less than 2-3 months of struggles at the big league level. https://www.thebaseballcube.com/content/player/4623/ Joe Borchard spent 4 years going and down between the minors and Chicago, and nearly 300 at-bats over 100 games before they finally pulled the plug and did a "change of scenery" trade with the Mariners for LHR Matt Thornton before the 2006 season.- GT Get out the brooms! At least Robert brings speed/steals and strong defense. It's one dimensional players like Vaughn and Benintendi that really kill you.- 5/25 Games
