To make things worse, Beckham still isn't back in the line-up for Birmingham.

Quentin has like 3 doubles (two over the weekend) for the WHOLE season. That should tell you about how hard he's been trying to hit homers after that 10 game hot streak.

Quentin really, really is messed up trying to pull everything. Sad.

Maybe the Indians, who I think are close to the worst bullpen in the majors, can bring us back into this game? Getz 5/13, .385, against LHP so far this year (unfortunately didn't make contact against KC last week, same game Ramirez choked away). Did Harrelson say "dad gummit" and go off on the umpires for that strike call on Getz?

Second positive, Alexei actually had a hit and now has 2 RBI's for the game.

Richard versus Sowers tomorrow. Soft tossing lefty will have a guaranteed shutout, with no need for atrocious middle relievers of CLE to enter the game and louse things up. Wow, AJ up to an 829 OPS. Didn't realize it was that high. AJ's 829 says hello to Carlos' (no longer TCQ) 828 OPS.

I'm going to guess he's changed his stance too much, he's concentrating too much on going to the opposite field (as a 2 hitter) and he's trying to emulate Quentin with the crouch. The thing is, having 20/20 vision and a healthy knee doesn't always guarantee hitting fastballs, but it should help somehow. 491 OPS for Ramirez, 447 for Lillibridge. The race to 500 continues.

The weird thing is that Fields and Betemit were clearly our best hitters in ST. Betemit has been kidnapped by the Triad, and Fields can't hit a Pavano fastball...as Hawk always says, show me a major league hitter who can't hit a fastball, he better find himself a new career.
