  1. 38 homers two years ago seems more like five years... Vaughn 141/457 Jesus. Too bad The Athletic didn't have a vote on worst front offices lol...
  2. Robert blown away by 91 mph.
  3. In his prime he was pretty great...but that was 4-5 years ago.
  4. Problem is Vargas and Sosa are obviously iffy (at best) and Baldwin is hardly a surefire everyday player, either. But for now he should be. (And even Teel has been scuffling pretty mightily in the last 7-10 days.)
  5. Robert Taylor Rojas the only plus defenders...
  6. Washington -20 and Colorado -51 the only teams currently with worse rs/ra numbers at this point. Tied with Pitt and Miami at -18.
  7. Well...that's pretty much game. A's have pop to go yard even against the wind.
  8. More 1-2-3 innings. Feel sorry for our starters who mostly lack the topline stuff to be perfect like Crochet. 36-126 pace if the Sox don't rally.
  9. And we did get the 78/Related development plan mention in Working Man...new Jason Statham film that's a weak Taken knock off.
  10. And two low level minor league infielders with non flashy tools...
  11. 107 ev 414 feet with wind blowing in quite strongly
  12. Eceryone in lineup today under 700 ops but Meidroth...Baldwin 699 hitters 2-4 horrifically similar Meidroth2B R 0 0 0 .286 .730 Robert Jr.CF R 1 4 6 .143 .448 Vaughn1B R 2 8 0 .131 .447 Vargas, M3B R 0 6 1 .143 .445 Sosa, LDH R 1 5 0 .259 .656 Taylor, MRF R 1 2 2 .200 .634 QueroC S - - - - - BaldwinLF S 2 8 1 .267 .699 AmayaSS R 0 3 1 .108 .263
  13. M.Moniak .225/770 Would still be one of the best hitters on the team...younger/still carries potential and can play CF comfortably.
  14. You won’t even go on record as expecting a .500 finish in the worst division in baseball in 2027…what’s the point? You will say injuries or it depends on the budget or something else to kick the can down the road. Do you get some kind of commission or bonus for every year Getz is employed as GM by the White Sox?
  15. “If Slater comes back June 1, you're talking about Drury, Lee, Tauchman, Benintendi, Rojas, and maybe even Colson Montgomery being ready for roster spots.” WestEddy Why would it matter if there’s an open roster spot if he’s not close to being ready? You’re putting the cart before the horse…
  16. Rojas will be fine as a stopgap…Ramos next in line. Maybe Sosa.
  17. Jorge Soler has done fine as well. And Willson Contreras. Didn’t pull an Addison Russell.
  18. You haven’t yet considered anything to be a problem or a concern…why change now?
  19. Tell me when Colson is at least at .240 and not striking out at an unsustainable rate for even Charlotte…
  20. GMs can't react emotionally, like fans. They have to be more dispassionate and level-headed.
  21. “I think everyone in the industry respects the way Chris sees the world, his ability to cultivate staff and have people want to work for him, believe in what he’s doing and want to work in Cleveland,” said one AL GM. “He’s kind of unmatched in that regard. There’s a huge group of people who (have offers to go elsewhere and) don’t leave because they love what Chris has built and love working for him every day. I don’t think there’s any executive in the industry who has more respect from his peers than Chris in terms of what type of person he is.” While ownership rarely gives Antonetti and GM Mike Chernoff much to work with, they’ve managed to keep franchise cornerstone José Ramírez, top starter Tanner Bibee and star closer Emmanuel Clase with reasonable long-term deals. “They really care about people there,” one NL GM said. “I think that allows them to compete and to hang on to a lot of talent, both on the field and off.”
  22. But but but...the Rockies are 3-15, and we basically have the same record as the Braves. 27-135 pace for Colorado, woo-hoo, wouldn't that be something if even THAT White Sox record lasted only one season? How about that? (Must be done in Mel Allen's This Week in Baseball voice over.)
  23. How is it "silly" if that's the current thinking of the majority of the industry??? Shouldn't that give Getz an advantage, if he's criminally overloooked or underestimated by everyone in MLB front offices? Did you really expect they would have digested all the "puff pieces" about the Sox and incorporated that into their voting... Dodgers, Rays top voters’ front office rankings 40 MLB executives and coaches ranked the top five MLB front offices Note: only the Dodgers, Rays and Guardians received first place votes/rankings
  24. After we had Gavin Sheets rostered for how many years...?
