  1. Desperation with two outs and Jankowski up next.
  2. Baldwin off to a nice start. Dingler couldn't hold on.
  3. Doesn't say much for Lee's future/trade value when Thaiss has beaten him out for #1 catcher...
  4. Keith now only 4/7 with a homer against Cannon. Change up looks good. Only throws it 18% of the time but it's arguably his best pitch.
  5. The sad thing is he was arguably the #1 starter entering the spring.
  6. Just not getting enough depth on his pitches. Quite fortunate to get the first out. White Sox worst defense in majors for DRS after Getz vowed to have one of the best defenses last year.
  7. Tigers 10 1/3 ip 18 runs 21 hits vs Cannon
  8. Maton being our fifth place hitter/DH and Thaiss getting a ton of playing time over Lee aren't bingo card selections most would have gone with on March 1st. Another would be Jankowski playing nearly every day... Also fwiw Omar Narvaez landed on his feet as well.

  10. If anything...it might make JR give up more quickly. As for Ishbia, look at KKR. Down 10% just today...probably 20-25% already. It's a blood bath. KKR's competitors and similar companies include Brookfield Asset Management, ONEX, Apollo Global Management, Blackstone, The Carlyle Group and Bain Capital (used to be Mitt Romney). KKR (Kohlberg Kravis Roberts) is an investment firm that offers alternative asset management, capital markets, and insurance solutions. Just weeks and months ago...many of these PE firms were suggesting a new 50/30/20 rule of 50% stocks equities/stocks/aggressive growth mutual funds, 30% bonds, 20% PE funds, spac's/Bitcoin etc. 60% stocks and 40% bonds used to be the suggested mix...quite traditionally. Those firms highlighted above are taking it on the chin right now. Might want to ask Steve Cohen what he thinks...
  11. Not even close to the same color as the Green Monster though...
  12. Uh oh...they're going to have remove the Slam Ball/Schiffren bio from all local libraries.
  13. Tray is definitely not Executive Producer on that one.
  14. That's how the Bulls are going to end up with someone nobody's ever heard of in a tanking year...owners like JR and the McCaskeys 10. Chicago Bulls: Collin Murray-Boyles, F, South Carolina The Nikola Vučević and Zach Collins era has to end soon when their contracts are off the books in 2026, right? Adding a frontcourt player is needed, so CMB makes a ton of sense. And Murray-Boyles operates like a defensive savant the way he locks down every position, uses his ninja-quick hands to swipe at the ball, and inhales rebounds. The offensive fit with Josh Giddey and Matas Buzelis could be a little clunky since Murray-Boyles is an unproven shooter, but he’s a bulldozer finisher with a playmaking feel. If he fixes his jumper, there’s All-Star upside yahoo sports mock draft 2
  15. You'll get Jesse Chavez instead.
  16. We're about as far as you can get from Bill Veeck...
  17. No Giolito to get massacred.
  18. Nashville invested everything into the Titans' new facility...
  19. Or somehow believed, along with with JR, that Chris Getz was the highly-qualified person in the world to lead this second rebuild...and that John Schiffren was the very best play-by-play announcer they could possibly come up with.
  20. https://sports.yahoo.com/mlb/article/what-to-make-of-mlbs-torpedo-bats-valuable-new-technology-or-an-early-season-fad-222532982.html
  21. Well, we know from this rebuild as well as the previous one that JR will only spend to a certain amount that he's comfortable with...and nothing more. That still SHOULD have been enough to dominate the AL Central, but not with the way Hahn allocated the budget. The question is how much more Ishbia will spend to bring back the lost/disenchanted Sox fans, and how much he's willing to invest on the private side of a new White Sox stadium...? We see the example of Durant being brought into the Suns with his Justin's brother Matt, but the disastrous side taking on the Bradley Beal contract as well.
  22. There's really a legitimate question whether Reinsdorf and the Board have ANY willingness at all to spend beyond maintaining a Bottom 1-3 MLB payroll until the predicted Lockout/Labor dispute before the 2027 season. Last time I checked, we were only ahead of the Marlins in that spending category.
  23. That's the real test, though...especially for "raw" high school athletes. Once they pass that test, they're 60-65% of the way there...since AA players these days quite often get promoted quite quickly, like Brooks Baldwin last year. If you want to rocket into the TOP 100 like Kristian Campbell, you're going to have to jump through multiple levels in one year. Or COMPLETELY dominate A ball.
  24. Then the only alternative is 1) death, 2) waiting for JR's death/Ishbia taking over, or 3) buying the shares from Ishbia/JR/JR's sons, lol.
