  2. We were ten+ deep with legit starting prospects (Rauch the best) 25 years ago and only Buehrle and Garland really stuck. Kip Wells had a decent career, mostly with Pitt. Clear Baseball America #1 class. Or 2017-19 they had Gio Kopech Reynaldo Cease Dunning and Rodon was already there. BA #1-2 class. Both examples multiples of talent more than they currently possess. And, if Schultz becomes a healthy frontline TOR starter, there's pretty much zero existing evidence from the last decade that Jerry Reinsdorf would even extend him.
  3. It wouldn't be shocking if NONE of those positional players are starting with the White Sox in 2028. Teel is probably where I would place my bet. McDougal is likely to end up in the bullpen with Taylor. Mune will be traded if he excels...or be another Benintendi if he flops. Ishbia bucks aren't suddenly going to materialize to extend him. And injuries were the excuse last April as well. Hays was a shocker to no one who studied his injury history since 2020. Baldwin was a freak injury for a positional player and Teel will be fine. You're acting like the Sox are Toronto and missing four frontline starting pitchers from their rotation the first month.
  4. He was never going to lead a league in OBP with the White Sox...
  5. Cholowsky 0/4 2 bb vs. Rutgers Gasparino 2/7 game went 14 innings
  6. His answer — littered with both positive and cautious quote fragments — is a bit difficult to decode. “I feel pretty comfortable,” said Getz. “The way I view starting pitching — how many guys do we have that can take starts throughout a year versus ‘these are five guys.’ We all know that’s not realistic." “You want arms that are taking starts that aren’t well below replacement level. You need guys that are competent, that can give you quality innings. Obviously, it’s great to have the higher-end guys, and we’re continuing to try to develop that and acquire that. But in the meantime, so and so goes down and can’t make the start — do we have options that can give us a quality start that day?" yahoo.com/sports

  15. 50/50 But KC has never been a great offense after the top 5-6 guys. Terrible OF numbers like CLE. 11 ks a career high
  16. KC has really been scuffling on offense this entire week
  17. Eckstein=gamer perfectly fine with surrounding Anaheim and StL talent surrounding him as a complementary player
  18. KW: pitching and defense doesn't sell tickets
  19. 0/28 risp streak by KC won't last forever
  20. Acuna didn't even see that ball.
  21. Check out Ohtani's second and third year offensive numbers. Pedestrian. And had a lot more lineup protection in Anaheim...just like LuBob in NY.
