We were ten+ deep with legit starting prospects (Rauch the best) 25 years ago and only Buehrle and Garland really stuck. Kip Wells had a decent career, mostly with Pitt. Clear Baseball America #1 class. Or 2017-19 they had Gio Kopech Reynaldo Cease Dunning and Rodon was already there. BA #1-2 class. Both examples multiples of talent more than they currently possess. And, if Schultz becomes a healthy frontline TOR starter, there's pretty much zero existing evidence from the last decade that Jerry Reinsdorf would even extend him.

It wouldn't be shocking if NONE of those positional players are starting with the White Sox in 2028. Teel is probably where I would place my bet.
