  1. More team profits? And that 100% should never have been the case if Hahn knew anything about either marketing or roster construction. Doesn't seem they ever had any real intention of signing him. Just a PR show.
  2. Same with Machado. Moncada won 2019, but those three non-moves pinned the rebuild largely on the success of Yoan, Robert and Jimenez. Fwiw, Machado has a legit case for ML MVP.
  3. Would be a shocker if Azocar Drury or Kim can do much here. Lost Bell for the PR in the 7th.
  4. Like the season he had a 10 fWAR mode right now.
  5. Padres' fans somewhat bitter they didn't get Harper and Machado, saving the need to empty out the system for Soto. That just wasn't realistic at the time.
  6. Unreal. Gotta give credit to the Phillies. Team of destiny right now. Couldn't get the game to Hader. Wheeler and Harper would have looked pretty nice in Sox uniforms...
  7. Got a break with the increasing rain intensity. At least it's an interesting game, Decision to pull Wheeler the first move to backfire on Thomson recently...along with relief moves in G2.
  8. https://www.fishstripes.com/23400670/marlins-manager-candidates-joe-espada This will be his 8th or 9th shot at a big league managing job.
  9. https://m.startribune.com/twins-trainer-injured-list-vikings-kevin-oconnell-loons-mls-playoffs-3-2-pitch-lavelle-neal/600218101/ Twins part ways with top trainer after second highest number of days lost to injury
  10. Whoever signs Clevinger or Manaea needs to have their heads examined.
  11. Martinez and Kim... would have to double check on Suarez. Seems like the Phillies' year, though.
  12. https://www.theatlantic.com/magazine/archive/2018/07/finding-the-formula-for-team-chemistry/561722/ What makes a baseball team great? The elusive search for indicators of team chemistry.
  13. Not to mention he's tied in with Bauer, Tatis and a number of the same groupies.
  14. Clevinger is terrible, too. Another four plus hour bullpen game.
  15. Yankees just don't have enough of an offense outside their Big 3.
  16. Nick Castellanos would be a perfect fit for the White Sox...defensively. Fortunately, they can't afford him.
  17. Reinsdorf probably thinks bringing back Ozzie will stave off at least 1/2 the attendance fall off and put all the attention on him instead of those responsible for this entire fiasco of the last 15 months.
  18. Bad call on Profar…totally changed the complexion of that inning. Sac and they get two shots to tie with runners on second and third, as well as running up Dominguez’s pitch count. Likely to be 3-1 since Clevinger sucks, leading to Phillies/Astros. Snooze.
  19. Soda on no way shape or form deserves a Gold Glove. Derek Jeter Effect.
  20. Padres quite fortunate to still be in this one. Almost had a Gaffe-anino series-turning moment.
  21. Semien up for his second consecutive Gold Glove. Might go to Gimenez. Not a single member of the White Sox nominated.
  22. At least it's an interesting series now. 3/26 if losing first two at home, 85 Royals, 86 Mets, 96 Yankees vs. Braves the exceptions. Snell will go down as one of the heroes of the last couple of months. Arguably their best pitcher when Musgrove was fading.
