QUOTE (JoeCoolMan24 @ Apr 22, 2011 -> 12:25 AM) I still watch too. But then again, I marathon'd all 6 seasons or whatever in about a month with a friend. This is what I did but I have no plans for watching season 7.

In other news, Brandon Roy is having a nice night. It's good to see him play well.

QUOTE (knightni @ Apr 21, 2011 -> 10:59 PM) Good thing that I have him on my fantasy team, then... Thank you, I was dying to hear more about it.

I love soxtalk.

QUOTE (Felix @ Apr 21, 2011 -> 10:41 PM) All I've said is that Paul is a better overall player RIGHT NOW. Rose has potential to be a better player than Paul in the future, but he's not at that point yet. He really isn't better RIGHT NOW. Rose had a better year than Paul THIS SEASON. Which to me, means right now.

QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Apr 21, 2011 -> 10:27 PM) Felix > this thread I'm sorry. He offers up legitimate analysis. The Rose homerism around here is nearing realgm status. The dude is f***ing awesome. Felix has admitted this. He's a fool because he'd rather have Paul? I don't think so. I think it looks foolish when one player is three years younger and the mvp of the league. Rose never disappears during the fourth quarter like Paul did last night. That's where Rose shines and it really separates the two IMO.

QUOTE (flavum @ Apr 21, 2011 -> 10:21 PM) I don't think anyone had Hudson headed to the Hall of Fame, or even the top of anyone's rotation. I think some people think it was a stupid trade for the long run, and it certainly can turn out ot be a bad trade if the Sox don't make the playoffs with Edwin Jackson in their rotation, while Hudson could be a productive starter for fairly cheap over the next five years. He could be, but he didn't show that he was capable of that with the white sox and he certainly hasn't looked capable of being a productive starter so far this year.

I got the email. I deleted the email.

QUOTE (Brian @ Apr 20, 2011 -> 04:22 PM) The Lincoln Lawyer was very good. Different take on courtroom drama. Hope it does well enough where they do another movie off the series of books. I really enjoyed the book and have heard good things about the movie. Hope to go see it sometime but will probably have to wait to rent.

That Boy is good Neil! That Boy is GOOD!

Can we please get Wood and have him and McPherson battle it out in triple A? This would be amusing.

QUOTE (Paint it Black @ Apr 19, 2011 -> 09:13 PM) Except there are people out there who actually believe it. But yeah I didn't read the whole thread. I have a short fuse right now.... You always have a short fuse...

QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Apr 19, 2011 -> 10:11 PM) Nothing special in comparison to his historic (if you believe in stats) '08/'09 seasons. He missed like 40 games in 2010 and was still pretty sick. I can't really fingerpoint this year. But the dude is spectacular. I just can't believe how sensitive some are. I love Rose. But c'mon now. Rose has been better all season long. I love Paul. But c'mon now.

QUOTE (RockRaines @ Apr 19, 2011 -> 11:07 AM) I've never paid over 100 bucks for a ticket to the Bears. For an 8 game season, I dont expect to pay 20 bucks. I pay the same for a Bears game as I do for a Buckeyes football game, I assume thats the price you pay. And if everyone is so sure a new team would sell out, why cant our "second" baseball team that has recently won a title and has a TON of history, sell out our ballpark. The Bears would be much harder to compete against than the Cubs. If the Sox played 8 games a season they would all sell out.

I hate the refereeing of the game right now. It's fair but they need to let them play a bit more.

New Comiskey Park, or US Cellular Field, turns 20 today

QUOTE (SnB @ Apr 18, 2011 -> 04:23 PM) bear weather. That's ludicrous. I would kill for a retractable roof at this point. I have been prepared to go to 2 more sox games already this year, but I just refuse to go when it's 40 degrees and sleeting. This. I would also like that to be the last time anyone says "bear weather" anywhere. -
QUOTE (bmags @ Apr 18, 2011 -> 03:06 PM) Yeah. I was excited to see paul so quick on that knee b/c i want as many awesome players to watch as possible and you hate to see a guy fall due to injury, but that said: it was incredibly perplexing how LA was guarding him. I get that Phil likes someone who he can trust to run the offense at the point at the expense of some d, but for them to just throw him 1-on-1 on paul was nuts. I have a feeling Kobe will be on him for much of game 2.

Noticed this is still going.

QUOTE (kev211 @ Apr 18, 2011 -> 02:34 PM) Well then only allow the roof to be closed in April or May. Roofs on stadiums just piss me off. I love the retractable ones. -
