I have no idea how anyone can like college basketball more than the NBA when you can watch this team play regularly. They are a joy to watch.

QUOTE (fathom @ Mar 22, 2011 -> 08:02 PM) You can't play better basketball than what the Bulls have played for the first 19 minutes tonight. You really can't. This bench is even so much fun to watch.

QUOTE (MurcieOne @ Mar 22, 2011 -> 07:10 PM) I am impressed with Chris Webber as an analyst. I think he is one of the best in the business. I agree, he has done a fine job

QUOTE (Swingandalongonetoleft @ Mar 22, 2011 -> 01:47 PM) Dunkaroos, Koala Yummies, Marshmallow Alpha-Bits These are so legit.

I don't get how people can spend so much time on the phone late at night, I get like 2 text messages a day. I can see during the day if they have work related stuff but out on a saturday night? I don't get it.

Florida St. is trying to get a third Big East team in right now.

lol at Notre Dame.

Illinois has nothing to feel bad about, they played pretty solidly tonight and beat a tough UNLV team. No shame in losing to Kansas.
-
Everytime I think Illinois is going to really get back in this Kansas makes a run and everytime I think Kansas is gonna pull away the Illini make a run.

I had Louisville in the championship game.

QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Mar 17, 2011 -> 01:53 PM) Trust me, there are things I don't like about players on all of my favorite teams. I still think Derrick Rose is a Dbag for having his brother take his SATs. This is something that really never bothered me. It wouldn't have mattered if the NBA didn't have the dumb rule that players couldn't go straight to the pros out of high school. Thanks to that rule the bulls got D Rose though.

QUOTE (MuckFinnesota @ Mar 16, 2011 -> 05:58 PM) You have no interest in anything? What was your undergraduate degree? What did you want to do as a kid? What are your skills in? I have a degree in business. Figured it was pretty general so that I could try and find something that would suit me. I'm pretty good with numbers and good with people but not very good at talking on the phone.

QUOTE (MuckFinnesota @ Mar 16, 2011 -> 01:10 PM) Okay, but for someone who finished his undergraduate degree at a school that didn't have PRSSA (Public Relations Student Society of America) and was a small private liberal arts college, contacts were limited. I'm thinking of the only way to get into an organization that is close to where I want to work/be is at DePaul, where they have the Master's in Public Relations degree. Otherwise I am not sure of what organizations to join since all I did in school was work for a radio station and newspaper for the first two years and then the sports information department at my institution. This isn't exactly applicable to what I want to do in the business world (PR), so I am going to have to find the limited paid internships out there. I'm in the same situation as you. Except you haven't even graduated. I've been done for a year now and still have nothing. I blame myself though. I have no idea what I want to do and find it hard to work at getting something when I don't have a desire for any field out there. You should be glad that you at least have some sort of notion of what you are interested in. At least you can get out there and start trying to make connections that will lead you in the direction you want to go. It really sucks when you have no desire for any job out there.

I wish they would go to at most a 30 second shot clock. 35 is just far too long. Teams like Wisconsin bore the heck out of me.

QUOTE (IlliniKrush @ Mar 13, 2011 -> 10:26 PM) And your fixation is on proving that MVC teams (you wish you could say ISU) are better than Illinois. You don't put teams in the tournament based on "Did they live up to pre-season expectations?" We disagree. I get it. No use in arguing. -

QUOTE (IlliniKrush @ Mar 13, 2011 -> 06:00 PM) Your credibility is shot when you talk about Missouri St over MSU or Illinois, 2 teams that weren't the last few in. It's also not about who you would watch. I never said they were better. I said that I feel they deserve to be rewarded for having a good year over two teams the were mediocre all year. I'm not seeking credibility just stating my preference of what I would like to see. Clearly as I am not a part of the selection committee it doesn't matter what I think. I swear you have some kind fixation on proving Illinois is so much better than mid majors. -

I personally thought Wichita had a better resume but the fact that a team can win the MVC outright and get overlooked sucks. I want to see teams like Missouri State and Harvard way more than I want to see Florida St., Marquette, Georgia. I just hate seeing mediocrity make it. IMO, it ruins the tournament. I want to see underdogs get their shot rather than watch all the major schools every single year. -

QUOTE (Brian @ Mar 13, 2011 -> 05:39 PM) I love the MVC but no way we should of gotten more than 1 team. Missouri St. won the damn league. They deserve to make the tournament with the year they had. I'd rather see them than watch michigan st. or illinois, two teams that have been disappointments. -

The tournament has really lost a lot of its charm the last copule of years. The same old story is getting old. There is no way that the Big 10 deserves 7 teams while Missouri St. has to go to the NIT. It's bulls***. -

QUOTE (maggsmaggs @ Mar 13, 2011 -> 11:54 AM) It's 37 or something. That gets in every year just about, so if Harvard doesn't get it that will be a shame. They played a strong non-conference schedule, dominated conference play except for two hiccups. There is no doubt in my mind they deserve it over Illinois -- and that's from an Illinois fan. In 2007 Missouri state was top 30 and got left out, in 2008 ISU had a 33 rpi and was left out. I doubt Harvard gets in. -

QUOTE (maggsmaggs @ Mar 12, 2011 -> 02:22 PM) So does Illinois get in or not guys? Lunardi is the best in the business and he says yes right now, so I will say yes until he says otherwise. They will probably benefit from a horrible bunch of bubble teams this year. Lunardi is only the best because he hears everything last minute and changes his bracket to reflect that at the end. -
I used virgin mobile 7-8 years ago in central Illinois and don't remember having any major problems.
