ISU loses another game by 2. Awesome. Reminds me of my first two years there. Garbage. -

QUOTE (mr_genius @ Jan 12, 2011 -> 09:00 PM) Obama didn't look comfortable with the atmosphere at first. it really was more of political pep rally setting than a memorial service. A few times there I thought he was going to say something. He didn't seem pleased with all the cheering. -
Depends on if we're trading CQ or TCQ.

If you haven't heard the news, Derrick Rose is too big too strong too fast TOO Good.
-
Yes, Derrick decided to take over. It's fun to watch Ben Gordon attempt to play defense when he's playing against your team.

QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Jan 9, 2011 -> 03:00 PM) Gotta love how you can just throw a zone defense at us and we go on a 4 minute scoring drought. Chris Lowery despite being a head coach for 7 years now has apparently still never seen a zone defense, it's quite astonishing. Also gotta love the talent level on these two teams. Carmichael and Seck are both long, athletic very smart basketball players who could start on a lot of bcs teams while the rest of these players should be playing like division 2 somewhere. Obviously I'm exaggerating a tad but unfortunately it's not that much. They are pretty similar, albeit terrible, teams. I don't know about SIU but ISU is full of freshmen and I see some hope in Wilkins and Ekey. -

QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Jan 8, 2011 -> 07:05 AM) It's WSU and Mo State, the rest of the league is complete garbage, like COMPLETE garbage. SIU hasn't looked that bad. That's good to see. My squad on the other hand is COMPLETE garbage. -
QUOTE (ChiSox_Sonix @ Jan 6, 2011 -> 08:02 AM) Anyone who watched FlashForward knows exactly what's really going on... Yes, sadly I got the reference.

QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Jan 1, 2011 -> 05:50 PM) Get a real f***in job. This is mine too.

Not a fan of 312 but enjoy the rest of the top 5.

QUOTE (Tex @ Dec 30, 2010 -> 09:45 AM) My mother bought a few books for #1 son and I. She thinks we read "weird books". I just finished The Killer Angels a nice work of historical fiction about the Battle of Gettysburg and started The Known World a slave narrative. Both are Pulitzer prize winners. #1 son is reading Gravity's Rainbow in-between Kafka short stories and Yeats poems. I guess my mom believes the latest Baldacci thriller would be better I am waiting for my gf to finish The Padre Puzzle, a new fiction work set on South Padre Island. I read the Killer Angels for a history class in the 8th grade. Thought it was fantastic. Have it laying around here somewhere.

QUOTE (Heads22 @ Dec 29, 2010 -> 11:38 PM) I don't care what anyone else says, Summer Shandy is like f***ing candy to me. One of my favorites in the summer.

QUOTE (JoeCoolMan24 @ Dec 24, 2010 -> 03:00 PM) Yeah, and maybe the worst offense in baseball. You can't even say maybe with the historically bad year the Mariners had.

QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Dec 23, 2010 -> 03:27 PM) I like Academy/Sundance/Cannes movies as much as the next guy, but I really enjoyed this film (like the lines about playing "full retard" I thought that was clever in an "insidery Hollywood" way in that entertainment insiders had to love that movie, like THE PLAYER)...I think there's a certain type of movie that it's popular to dismiss and then people join the bandwagon for or against it based on what critics say. With that movie, it was 'cool' again to appreciate Tom Cruise for making fun of himself, I think it went at least halfway to him rehabilitating his image somewhat in the industry...not sure about most Americans though. No matter what over the top character he plays, he can never beat Frank TJ Mackey from Magnolia. Jay Baruchel is annoying...but usually I find something enjoyable or interesting about any Downey Jr. performance, even though I wouldn't say he's one of my all-time favorites, I guess I appreciate his talent/ability to push the boundaries and limits, both personally and professionally. Even if you don't like him, he's (so far) done a great job of coming back from near death literally and career-wise. Like Pirates with Depp, Iron Man put him on the map for a lot of movie-going fans who weren't so familiar with his entire body of work. For another example, HOT TUB TIME MACHINE. I really enjoyed that too, and yet most "intellectual" critics rejected it for obvious reasons. I loved Hot tube time machine but hated Tropic Thunder. Tom Cruise was damn funny though.
-
QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ Dec 23, 2010 -> 02:40 PM) Tropic Thunder was one of the best comedies ever. Granted, it may not have been because of Jack Black, but he was still in it. I thought Tropic Thunder was awful. I didn't know anyone actually liked it.

QUOTE (whitesoxfan99 @ Dec 22, 2010 -> 10:50 PM) ESPN was just saying 39-0 at halftime for me up until the last minute when it changed to the presumably correct score.
-
QUOTE (chw42 @ Dec 22, 2010 -> 10:40 PM) So the Clippers didn't score a single point for 10 min...? I don't think so, pretty sure every site had the same mistake up for some reason. ESPN just changed theirs.
-
QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Dec 22, 2010 -> 10:25 PM) Dude, go to the Yahoo game channel. It says Rockets 22, Clipper 0 after one. I thought it was a mistake. I go to NBA.com game channel and it says the same thing. ESPN also says the same.
