Bosh is just so much younger, he may not shoot the three but he isn't a big man that is going to be clogging the lane.

QUOTE (Heads22 @ May 24, 2010 -> 12:39 AM) Maybe Rios as well as picking up half his remaining contract would be a good start. Or Beckham +. Heads I hope you were joking or drunk. I highly doubt Toronto would take Rios back under any circumstances.

QUOTE (greasywheels121 @ May 23, 2010 -> 06:04 PM) Community is so great. That show's almost avatar-changing worthy. It is a great show. My favorite new show of the season by far. Can't wait for season 2.

I really want RDR but I'm so cheap. I just don't know if I can spend the 60 bucks.

HAWKS WIN! HAWKS WIN THE STANLEY CUP!!

QUOTE (greg775 @ May 24, 2010 -> 12:46 AM) Great post, Dick Allen ... again. Whoever said hockey is boring ... why would you say that? There are not the incessant time outs. The game moves. When it starts to get dull with the dumping of the puck, you don't usually have to wait long for a vicious hit. I also congratulate all the die-hard Hawks fans. I was a HUGE fan as a child and til the start of college; then a nothing fan. Now, yes one of those fans who only starts to pay attention when it looks like we have a good team brewing. Been watching the playoffs all the way through and I've been IMPRESSED. Go Hawks. How has Hawks' other goalie handled not being the guy the Hawks have gone to? Has anybody interviewed him? It was me that said it was boring and it is just not for me. I'm not going to bash it because I know a ton of people who feel the same way about basketball that I do about hockey. It's just not something I've ever cared about. I don't know any of the players and never played hockey and don't know anyone who ever did. I'm 23 years old so the bulls were kind of the thing growing up and it fueled my love for basketball and hockey never appealed to me. Either way, Go Hawks for you diehard fans. p.s. however, NHL 98 for super nintendo was my s***. Paul Kariya is still my favorite hockey player because of it. -
QUOTE (DBAHO @ May 24, 2010 -> 12:13 AM) Dirk's opting out now also FWIW. Would Bulls fans rather have Dirk instead of Bosh to join Lebron? I'd much rather have Bosh. I wouldn't be opposed to Dirk but only if Lebron is with him. I don't want Dirk as the only free agent. That puts you in 4th place purgatory area if you ask me. I'd rather wait and see what comes available if thats the only option.

QUOTE (GoodAsGould @ May 24, 2010 -> 12:33 AM) You have to watch it with a group of people and with alcohol I really only like hockey live. It's more boring to me than golf tbh. I kind of have resented the hawks because hawks fever reminds me of the cubs circa 2003 . I have a couple of friends that have liked the hawks a while so I'll be happy for them if they win but I won't watch a game. To each their own. I just hope Lebron comes to the bulls and the hawks and bulls make the United Center the place to be. -
QUOTE (Kalapse @ May 24, 2010 -> 12:08 AM) ALIENS! The light is just discarded power goo from an alien craft that landed thousands of years ago. The island isn't actually special it's just being held together by volatile martian goo and a cork. [i hope I didn't miss something here] The one thing that's kind of bothering me is the bulls*** with Ben being trapped under the tree, apparently that was just a few minutes of filler because not long after that he was up and about no worse for wear on the cliff with Sawyer, Kate, Jack and Hurley. I get it was probably just a way to delay them so that Jack and Flocke could battle it out but they just ignored his escape from the immovable tree. I suppose the obvious answer is that the island's vibrations moved the tree off Ben but they didn't even show that and he appeared to have no physical injury after having a f***ing tree fall on his abdomen. The tree annoyed me too. 4 people should have been able to get that thing lifted enough for him to get out in seconds.

HAWKS WIN! HAWKS WIN THE STANLEY CUP!!

As much as I think hockey is really boring, I hope for all my soxtalk pals that the hawks can win 4 for you. -
The one time that I went I don't remember a whole lot around the ballpark to do. It's an alright park but I think it is now my least favorite in the central with the opening of target field. Go Sox!
-
Personally I expected to hate the ending but I really liked it. The way I took it is that the ALT has no time and they all just had to realize that the island was the best/most important thing that happened to them and once they all got it they could move on. It just took jack the "longest." I assumed that many of them lived long after the island(especially hurley and ben) but in a place like this it didn't matter when they died just when they came to that realization.

Yeah, Fringe was awesome once again. Walter and Bell reuniting was classic.

QUOTE (caulfield12 @ May 19, 2010 -> 06:32 PM) Reasons to think MINN will come back to us...which also, of course, involve us playing better and the Tigers tanking a bit as well 1) Mauer has a bad heel (lingering problems) and only has 2 homers 2) JJ Hardy is hurt, forcing them to play Punto and Harris more often 3) Jon Rauch 4) Mauer always is a little "touchy" with various injury issues (see 1, had to stretch it out to ten somehow) 5) Liriano is coming back down to earth after starting 4-0 6) Carl Pavano can't really be relied upon for a full season, can he? 7) Nick Punto in the line-up at any time (like our Vizquel/Kotsay) 8) Kubel isn't as good as he has been the last couple of seasons, same with Denard Span 9) They don't have Valentino Pascucci at 1B 10) Because I don't want to be bored the next four months like July-September 2006 and 2007 The twins may not be this good all year, but we may be this bad.

I said Cleveland. Bulls are number 2.

Fringe was awesome again last night. It's probably been my favorite show on tv this season.

QUOTE (Brian @ May 12, 2010 -> 08:44 PM) Sheldon FTW I'll third this.

QUOTE (RockRaines @ May 13, 2010 -> 06:05 PM) Because 99% of the stuff we watched is pointless, from the mysterious stations to the crazy orientation videos which just turned out to be orientation videos. Ben has been reduced to an afterthought as now the only thing that really matters is the battle between these two "brothers". I'm with you, this latest episode sucked and pretty much everything up until season 6 was a waste of time.

QUOTE (whitesoxfan99 @ May 13, 2010 -> 09:55 PM) Would Lebron leaving Cleveland be the biggest franchise crippling player loss of all time? That or Babe Ruth.
-
Normally I cheer for the Cavs if they aren't playing the Bulls, but tonight I want them to lose to increase the Bulls chances of Lebron.
-
Celtics off to a good start.
-
QUOTE (whitesoxfan99 @ May 13, 2010 -> 04:53 PM) LOL at Rondo over Deron. Not even close. I don't see why this is so funny. Rondo is legit. I hate the guy, but he can seriously play. He scored 5 less a game, .5 of an assist less, plays better D, shot a higher pct. from the field, better rebounder even though hes 2 inches shorter. I think an argument could be made that in two years time Rondo can be better than D-Will.
-
QUOTE (SoxAce @ May 13, 2010 -> 04:33 PM) You give the "younger" argument in Rose and Rondo yet you put the older Nash over Deron when comparing both of them in numbers Deron trumps Nash over every statistical category minus one less assist a game and is like 10 years younger? Hell Nash has the better player in Stat (and better supporting cast) over Booz. C'mon KC. You have a point there. I should have worded it differently. I would take Nash or Paul for one season right now. In the next 5-10 years I'd rather have Rose, Rondo, or Paul. Doesn't mean I don't think Williams is a good player. He's the number 3 PG in the game right now.
-
QUOTE (SoxAce @ May 13, 2010 -> 04:06 PM) There are so many things wrong here I don't know where to start. Haha.. well I'll just politely say that if you think this, than Deron Williams is STILL underrated, sadly. Nash and CP3 are currently better than Williams and Rose and Rondo are younger and will soon pass him IMO.
-
QUOTE (SoxAce @ May 13, 2010 -> 03:31 PM) Like I said earlier, many would argue Deron passed up CP3 this season. I actually would put Deron slightly ahead of Paul (that probably will change next season though as CP3 will do his thing) but as of today, yes I think Deron is the best PG in the NBA. I really don't like him all that much but I'd still take Nash over Deron. Dwill has never done it for me. Give me CP3, Nash, Rose, and Rondo over him.

QUOTE (Disco72 @ May 6, 2010 -> 09:43 PM) Didn't see that coming in Fringe. Great episode. yeah, I thought it was a fantastic episode.
