GT: Fri 4/23, SEA (9-7) @ CWS (5-11), 7:10pm
QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Apr 23, 2010 -> 08:39 PM) Walker needs to sit down with Beckham and show him some tape from last year. He's developed a little bit of a loop...last year he was locked in, short, quick and level. Up the middle and to RCF, doubles gaps....turning on some pitches and jacking them out. We're going to rue that DP ball...once again, the bullpen has to deal with no margin for error. 4-2 would feel a lot more comfortable, because the M's aren't exactly an offensive powerhouse either. We all know Walker doesn't do anything to help. Maybe he should just show the hitters old episodes of Happy Days

Have you ever gone to a game by yourself?
Last year I saw a listing on Craigslist for a single ticket during the weekend for a front row sec 119 White Sox v Yankees game for face value. I had no problem going alone to that one, I actually talked with the three ladies that sold it to me the whole time. It was fun. They ended up calling me later in the season for the same awesome seat too.

*4/20* GT: Rays vs. White Sox. 7:10 PM Central Time, CSN+, WSCR 670
QUOTE (Heads22 @ Apr 20, 2010 -> 12:07 PM) How has he performed on Danks Day? Super relaxed. But he starts getting paranoid when there's runners on.

Nats likely to take Harper with No. 1 pick
Yeah, but what they don't tell you is that Bryce leads the team with 3 balks as a pitcher. That should probably drop him down to the 6th or 7th round of the draft. Simply unacceptable.

The official There Is Nothing Wrong With Peavy Thread
Anyone who thinks his ERA should and will be similar to his Petco ERA is likely wrong. He is in a harder park and league to pitch in. However, he does need to adjust to being in a different setting than he's been in for his career. It may take another start or two, but he ought to be popping a sub-4 ERA for most of the season.

Is Kotsay a below average runner? I can't imagine Omar is very fast at this point in his career.

Pierre will start to hit. His capabilities will always be limited, but you know he'll come around with the slap singles.

Strasburg - 5 IP, 4 R, 1ER, 4 H, 2 BB, 8 K. He got the win. He also hit himself an RBI double.

MMA Thread
I took a buddy to the Foundry in Naperville to watch the event tonight. He's not an mma fan, but I thought if I brought him, he could start to get into it after a great night of two championship bouts. Huge mistake. It was basically dancing with the stars tonight, except he had to pay the five dollar cover charge to get in. By far the most boring mma event I have ever seen.

Alexei should have had that.

If Pena loses this, no one can blame him at all. He's pitched fantastic.

I'd laugh if Pierre hit a walk off home run. It'd be his first, I'm sure.

Big Jim comes in for a K, BB, or a HR. One of those.
