  1. Yep, that's great. Now if we can just get our BLSV number stay where it is for the rest of the season....
  2. Anyone that posts on a website everyday is a nerd. Don't be in denial. Nerds.
  3. I don't know if you're thinking fast food only, but I've heard the Rick Bayless restaurants are very good Mexican cuisine. http://www.rickbayless.com/restaurants/
  4. Did you hear him make the comments about Lance Armstrong inducing cancer upon himself, then turn around the next day and claim it wasn't him saying that? Hilarious.
  5. Have you guys seen all the pre-fight hype Chael Sonnen has been providing? He's hilarious. That said, Anderson should win with relative ease.
  6. What section of the on demand menu was it in? I couldn't find it.
  7. Somebody should teach him that there is another possible way to get on base besides the hit.
  8. They went a lot deeper into the season than I thought. I had presummed it was just going to cover ST.
  9. QUOTE (chisoxfan09 @ Jul 9, 2010 -> 12:01 AM) Anyone think Ted Lilly is worth a shot? At all costs - No. Ted Lilly would get walloped in the AL full time.
  10. Honestly, after Peavy left tonight, I thought we'd have no chance.
  11. QUOTE (fathom @ Jul 6, 2010 -> 09:25 PM) I wonder if we have insurance on Peavy's contract, as he'll be out all of next year if he needs TJS. Don't teams buy insurance for every contract?
  12. QUOTE (BearSox @ Jul 6, 2010 -> 09:14 PM) I don't know. Its only for those who make the AS team right?
  13. Did Mark Buehrle light something on fire during the game today?
  14. Anything about Carl Yastremski. I hear him talk about Carl way more than Catfish Hunter.
  15. QUOTE (The Beast @ Jun 21, 2010 -> 03:38 PM) In certain areas, jobs in specific fields aren't doing well, virtually are non-existent or can't be found as a result of "keen competition." Obviously, I have inquired many times about people and their jobs, as well as of what to go into. Though I would rather hear some thoughts on what fields or jobs are actually growing from people instead of just researching blogs and websites online that seem to be spouting off incredible and irrelevant information to the answer that I'm seeking. While I am interested in getting into the sports industry, it is competitive and I just didn't get an internship with the seven places that I applied to. I got one interview with the Academy in Lisle but I never heard back from them, so I'm considering different options as far as "careers" go. With that being said, in your professions, particularly in the healthcare, legal, PR or business fields, what do you see as some jobs that are growing in the DuPage and Chicago land areas? Or if you aren't in those fields, what do you believe is growing and dying? Don't go into software development/IT - those jobs are being outsourced like crazy to overseas.
  16. QUOTE (Real @ Jun 13, 2010 -> 01:08 PM) If we deal AJ tonight, we'll have two left-handed hitters in our lineup (Pierre, and Teahen/Kotsay) This is something that I have been wanting the Sox FO to do something about the last 3-4 years at least, get some g-d left-handed bats in the lineup Having left handers in the lineup is far overrated. You can worry about having too many lefties, but not worry about too many righties.
  17. They cannot ban you from coming back to the ballpark. Billy Ligue still goes all the time and they don't stop him.
  18. If it happens all the time, it gets very annoying. But if it doesn't happen much and your team is down 2-0, a change of pace can be entertaining for fans. Particularly if you get to see him get tackled, which unfortunately for the fans they really did not get to see. I was pretty surprised that they showed it on TV. Typically they try not to broadcast the fan in order to demotivate future incidents.
  19. Apply to the Dupage County Forest Preserve. I worked there as a seasonal employee during a summer when I was 20. At the time it paid 8.50/hour (in 2005), probably pays more now. They typically hire about 15 college kids a summer. You always get 40 hours a week and rotate between 3 shifts, 5:30 AM-1:30 AM, 8AM-4PM, 11AM-7PM. You do a lot of landscaping, work at the boat and canoe rentals, and sometimes just clean up random crap in the forests. Its not bad. The head of the west sector head was Justin Fredericks when I was there. I suggest going to the headquarters to get an application. Its located 3S580 Naperville Rd., Wheaton, IL 60189-8761
  20. How did Sox fans react to his first at bat yesterday?
  21. QUOTE (docsox24 @ Apr 24, 2010 -> 10:34 AM) Boras didn't even want him signing with us this season. Jones called KW on his own and said he wanted to play for the Sox and would do so for $1M. Boras was pissed he went behind his back. Where did you hear that?
