Lakers looking at Coach K
I don't Coach K will leave or should leave Duke. And, they'll never be that bad w/ all the blue chip talent that they get.

Congrats to Brian! He definitely deserved this call-up!

AND THAT'S A WHITE SOX WINNER!
Congrats to Jon! He really shut Minny down after we gave him the lead. If he can keep this up, watch out!

Not liking Schoeny's attitude
I just hate when players tell the media stuff like Shoeney said. And as for him going to the 'pen, he should just be happy that he's on a team like ours and not complain about where he pitches. I understand that it would sucks going from starting to being a long reliever and not having a regular work schedule, but this is a "team" sport, and the best thing for his team is to go to the 'pen if we get another starter.

Nice to see Gio and Brandon have good games! Here's to hoping they keep it up!

Notes: Davis welcomes relocation
Yeah me too, and I think I read that he's only 19, so it's not even like he's some 22 year old tearing up rookie league.

Game Thread: 6/30/04 Twins/Sox
I feel pretty much the same way... 4 or 5 ER in 6 or 7 IP. I really hope I'm wrong though, and he goes out and pitches like Mark did last night!

Rumor Mill
I'm pretty happy w/ our bench now. I wouldn't want to have to send anyone down to make room for Alomar.

Best sports movie scenes.
Some of the parts of the movie may have been embellished, but the main parts were not; Like when he gets in the game and records the sack... that's all real.

Favorite Sports Movie
, and how about another classic, MVP: Most Valuble Primate. Seriously though, my two favorites would have to be Hoosiers and Rudy. Remember the Titans is pretty damn good too.

Brandon McCarthy Promoted to Winston Salem
Congrats to B-mac! I have a feeling that his #'s aren't gonna drop much in W-S, and he'll really help them to win the 2nd half.

The Jeremy Reed Fallout
Great article Jas! I still believe in Joe; he could still give us 10 really good years, and he hasn't even hit his prime yet, so hopefully he'll get even better when he does.

Time for Anderson's call up?
That's a good question. I doubt it's A-gon b/c they probably want to give him more time in W-S since he's not exactly tearing it up there, so I have no idea. My best guess is that they'll probably move Reyes to SS, and call up Rogo to B-ham to take Morse's spot.
