if we did that trade...id play griffey at first to prolong his career...out the four..the only one who is not at risk at having his career end at any second due to injury is rietsma just the chance of having griffey and thomas return to their mid 90's form is worth the risk for me..if they did we'd have thomas - griffey - maggs at 3-4-5... and if griffey breaks his knee and konerko and botch go on to fix their careers...oh well...ive given up on this season already and next year , if botch returns to save 30 plus and konerko to hit 35 homers then we'd never pay them anyways and they walk..so whats the difference...both are gone after this season either way

its funny because the dodgers fans are jumping all over this guy for offering up jackson and thurston..i guess they are ranked pretty high up in the dodgers farm system...jackson turned 20 in sept last year and had a great month..he is the 3rd rated prospect in the dodgers org and 99th in all of baseball.. this thurston guy i cant find too much out about him other than he he had a hell of a year at AAA..334 39D , 13T ,12HR , 55 rbi and 22 sb's..set franchise record with 197 hits , which also led all of the minors... if this thurston guy is a legit prospect id make that trade..iishi , who is only 30 can replace what garland has done in the past...cause i really thinkl willie harris is gonna lay a big one this year and we will still need a lead off hitter / 2nd baseman... this trade swings in the sox favor imo because we save about 6 million in salary with konerko vrs iishi

can someone explain to me the neil cotts lovefest???...posters are picking him to win the 5 spot...any trades we talk about posters say no if cotts is involved...i watched him pitch a little last year and i wasnt impressed...ill give him his lack of control and figure that swill improve with thime but i didnt see a blazing fastball or wicked ass movement...his stuff seemed probably a little above average did i miss something???
