  5. is konerko in camp early??...if anyone needs to redidicate himself its that guy
  6. why do you guys think ozzie wont have a quick hook either?? the bullpen might turn oput to be this team's strength if zero , pollitte and koch perform well (big ifs i know)..but if it does i sure hope OG doesnt turn into the pitcher torturer DB... but ive always liked the idea of using a bullpen alot...thats what they are there for imo
  7. ive got to see this movie now.... From: Jody Dean, Dallas/Ft. one thing that non believers like about the pre-destination christians is since they believe a person's fate is already sealed , they dont believe in evangalizing....so they dont have to worry about one trying to convert them
  11. reason he lost???...maybe he should fire his agent

curious what denomination you are...there area group of baptists (at least im pretty sure it was baptists) that broke away from the southern baptists (?) back in 50's i think...i think they started out in nebraska...they call themselves the two seeds....they believe at birth that God chooses either a good seed or a bad seed for each child born...and nothing on this earth can change the outcome...it sounds like thats who you are talking about...
  13. ahh to be 16 again..and actually remember what true hope felt like
  14. gagne was robbed!! i think they are all overpaid but if anyone deserves the benefit of the doubt is gange...what he is doing is amazing...did anyone ever imagine a guy dominating like he does???....he's the closest thing to a real life sid fynch
  15. this goes on at every school in the country...university of oregon gives college credit to girls who screw recruits...its an actual class you can sign up for...and its taught by an assistant coach from the football team.. it wouldnt surprise me if notre dame had a confessional right outside the no-tel motel that the players use so they can be immediately be absolved of their sins
  16. the cubune at this point is probably so confident in owning the town they let john kass have is bone so to speak...

    come fly with me

how did i know that was coming
  19. off that same link there is a story about marcus vick (mike's lil brother) having sex with three minors..one was 15..nick turner , rb from mississippi st , was releasedfrom the team for passing counterfiet 100 dollar bills...UW cited for lack of institutional control for the gambling flap with former coach rick neuheisel.. bad week for NCAA football...they gotta clean their act up fast
  20. i dont have the link because im not a member at chicagosports but there's an article out of the trib by john kass that will make everyone laugh...can someone who is member there please post the link???..i have it sent to me..can i post the article in full w/o getting the site in trouble???
  21. are you serious???...im not spending any of my money on this team this year..they jacked ticket prices (and parking, vending ect) up through the roof and let 6 free agents walk..the product is a joke compared to what they are charging.. you dont make a demand on the fans to show up and then we will fix the product...thats ass backwards... its up to management to make the team more appealing to the fans...they failed bigtime... you were just kidding , right??
  22. so what 2nd baseman would you spend that money on to replace durham???...because if you say let willie harris play 2nd and ill use the 6 million for another pitcher....well no pitcher in the world is gonna make up for the difference in talent between durham and harris...my God, durham in one season had 72 extra base hits...harris probably wont see 72 hits for his career let alone extra base hits... at some point you have to start paying these guys what they will get from other teams....6 to 8 million was fair for durham ..thats the range he got in san fran...at top 2nd baseman and quality lead off man is worth 6 million plus a year...especially when the team in question cant replace him...and thats a big point here...we couldnt replace durham...no matter how bad you think he was the drop off between him and jimenez/harris/hummell /miles , whoever was huge.. the reason why you pay durham and not konerko or lee is because you can easily replace konerko's and/or lee's production with a free agent in the 2 to 3 million dollar range travis lee's name pops up a lot...he's as good if not better than konerko and he's relatively cheap.....you cant do that with durham...because there just arnt very many quality 2nd baseman out there...
  23. ive actually got stuck watching this show..because its on at the mcdonald's at union station and im stuck there for 45 minutes waiting for my train home...lost quite a few brain cells the past few weeks watching that crap...

because one of the constants of God is that he is fair and just...so is it fair and just that people on this side of the globe get to learn everything there is about Jesus while someone in tibet or china might never get exposed to him???...or certainly not to the extent that we do in this country??.. there are many verses throughout the bible where it talks about God wanting a personal relationship with all of his children...if thats what God seeks why would the path to him be so close minded or narrow??? i dont have the answers to these questions..but over the years ive come to realize that those who believe their way is the only way havent figured it out either...the one thing ive taken from the bible is that if you seek God you will find Him...depending on where you are in this world that could happen in many ways...
  25. why dont we just get rid of anyoner making more than a million a year and become the devil rays???...JR would love you in the GM role
