i like the joke at the end about turning the movie into a book

the problem i see with the stern show is that its designed to push the limits..he wants to be cancelled..he keeps going farther and farther until something has to be done...then when someone finally says enough he screams first amendment rights...no one is trying to ban his cable show...thats because when parents order cable tv they know they are the ones bringing it into their house and they have the responsibility to monitor whats on their tv for their children to see...with radio..they are not inviting howard stern into their homes by purchasing it...its on the air free and any kid that can get a 5 dollar transistor radio can tune it in..and its on during the daytime when parents have less control over their kids... im a big believer in the first amendment..and a guy like stern really pisses me off because the only reason he is doing this is to get the sensors to ban im..when they do then you get the zealots on the right(yes..eventhough im on the right i can see there are nut cases in both parties) and then they try even harder to redefine the world to fit their agenda...which in this case would be to really trample our first amendment rights..the blame for this lies with stern himself...because its his goal all along...

if someone is going to abandone a dog they arnt gonna drop it off in the middle of an interstate imo..they would take it to one of the many forest preserves or something and dump it off there..my guess is that dog got out of its yard and just got lost...probably wandered up on the highway in the middle of the night when traffic was real slow.. btw..its mostly republicans who help the homeless..they have all the money...you democrats are too poor to give spare change

i dont see how anyone can argue that parents should not be informed of their daughter getting an abortion...making a lw that benefits 1 or 2% of the population at the expense of the other 98-99% is not helping society

what were your predictions the last 3 years..honestly , did you pick the sox to finish 2nd or 3rd and underachieve all three years???..if you did you are probably the only one...im tired of this nickel and dime crap...face it..this team has so many question marks it would take an act of God to have them all answered in the positive.. we have an excellent bullpen???...we have two proven performers in the pen..both lefties...our closer is probably the bigest question mark in all of baseball...mr.zero is a complete unknown..pollitte is coming off surgery..hell even wunsch has a few question marks about durability...he's been shelved twice for major arm problems the past 3 seasons...our last guy in the pen might very well be mike jackson , who was out of baseball all of last year...it could be an excellent pen..but it could implode too... i remember guys last year telling us how d'angeloser was going to be a better 2nd baseman that ray durham..i remember one guy (cant remember his handle) saying after the first week d'angeloser already was better than ray...now this year people are saying willie harris will be better than ray..wanna bet next year we will be hearing so and so will be better than ray durham??? like i said im shooting for 75 wins...if we win 80 and finish 2nd ill look at it as overachieving...you'll be so upset ill have to buy you

if we played all our games within the division then id probably raise it some..but we play 80 games or so outside the division against some pretty talented teams...its possible .500 baseball could win the division this year...detroit and cleveland are better...kc about the same while the sox and minnesota took steps backwards..this division could be within 10 games from top to bottom...lets say kc with 81 wins and detorit with 71... im sorry guys..im am not getting my hopes up again for an organization that keeps lowering payroll , lowering talent and raising ticket prices..i will not support it anymore..even if the sox win the division its only because they are in by far the weakest division in baseball....any other division in baseball at best we finish a distant 3rd...most likely 4th...they make no effort to put a legit world series team on the field...einhorn said as much himself....its coming right from the bosses mouth that they are just try to not stink...their goal is to play 500 baseball and every once in a while sneek up and win the division...so why should this year be the year they sneek up and win the division??...it usually happens about every 8 years..its not time yet... to come out and say this team will win 90 -100 games is just wishful thinking..and it by some miracle it does happen im sure as hell not listening to any "i told you so" from anyone...because most of you are the same people that have been predicting 90-100 win seasons since '00...it reminds me of peter gammons...he's picked the red sox to win the world series like 37 straight years in a row now..when they finally win one he's gonna run around and tell everyone "see , i told you so"... the team last year was much more talented than this one and won 84 games i think...predicting 75 wins is not pessimistic..its realisitic.. sorry if that rubs people the wrong way

im gonna try and see it this weekend..probably have to go to the 12pm show or an after midnight showing...but i gotta see it

he wasnt actually struck by lightning...there was another guy that got struck by lightning twice...the second time he got struck he was standing right next to the actor that played jesus (jim caviezal) and caviezal caught the after affects of being that close to lightning...the wierd thing was it happened right as gibson said "cut" for the very last shot of the movie...that was the last piece of film they shot...thats the real creepy part

is that really proving him wrong??....i mean its over the mendoza line but 250 hitter with a 700 ops...is that reallty anything to get excited about??

i dont tell you not to optomistic when in fact i think your nuts for setting yourself up for a big letdown with what will probably be another failed season...if youre so pissed right now about some of us being doubtful about this group of sox players i imagine youll have a knife to wrists in june when the team is about 10 games under 500..relax some...chances are its gonna be another long one to answer your questions no no no yes no no maybe yes stop hitting for the fences??? no no yes hell no maybe hell yes

i got us for about 75 wins...if we do better and contend then ill be plesantly surprised....but judging the talent level i would say 75 wins is a fair prediction

what are the chances of david sanders or arnie munoz stepping up this year???...if we could get a 3rd lefty then marte could take over the closer role when koch inevitably falls on his face

i picked stewart...kinda like the way he pitched last year eventhough he didnt have much success...

there is no problem...notice the only 2 people being interviewed so far are thomas and ordonez...if they get all the questions everyone else can concentrate on getting ready for the season...frank's doing a great job so far

i forgot about dennis miller...ilike his smart ass attitude too the one guy on firends i think is pretty funny is matt leblanc..always thought he was the most talented of that group yet he seems to be the one that gets the least amount of work away from friends...maybe he likes it that way or he needs a new agent jay mohr and phil silvers were good picks too

this arguement seems to be brought up by people when "THEIR GUY" is the one with the hand caught in the cookie jar...but as soon as someone on the other side gets caught this arguement is all but forgotten as villify the wrongdoer..hell im guilty of it myself... its always gonna be party and politics first and the country 2nd...just the way it is right now....thats why a viable 3rd party is needed...one that wont get in bed with either donkeys or elephants

you make a good point here..and it makes you wonder about management...3 of the 4 who are responsible for the teams demise by your theory are still on the team...if this is the case wouldnt it have made sense to make more of an effort to keep last years team in tact????...pretty much all we would need was the same production out of most of the guys from last year (loiaza was the only one who would have to repeat a career year) and then only 1 of the remaining 3 (wright , koch , konerko) would have to bounce back from a sub par year to put us back in the diver's seat...seems like that one question mark between those 3 guys would be a much safer bet then all the question marks we now have going into this season...
