  1. were due qwerty , were due this one aint over yet...gotta good feeling right now..i feel a zambrano emotional meltdown coming on!!!!
  2. hawkins is only 11-14 in saves this year...just keep it close e-lo...chip will have to go somewhere to eat all his words and swallow his pride
  3. yeah but we are gonna get to him...i hope
  4. well zambrano is at 100 pitches...next inning is ours...
  5. if maggs or any outfielder would have made that catch..it would have been the catch of the year imo...the ball was a rope hit right over gload's head...those , imo are on the pitcher...gload plays a shalow RF...its costing them today because loaiza doesnt have his good stuff...but im of the belief that a shallow OF will help you more times than not over the course of a season.. timo messed up twice today too if you want to get as hard on him as some are on gload right now
  6. cmon..that ball was tatooed and hit off the middle of the wall...that one was all on loaiza
  7. geez..that ball looked like it was shot out of a cannon...cmon elo
  8. we could keep davis and send dowen burke if davis is considered the better defensive catcher..but either way , it has to be one of those two...i imagine by august both will be back on the roster..more PT for sandy mean a better chance he ends up on the DL..
  9. damn...gload ripped it to the wall and soso made a good play...
  10. holy crap...timo is lost out there today...that wind is killing us...not to mention every pitch loaiza has thrown up this inning has been tatooed
  11. i do give stoney alot of slack...last year he talked about jose's range and arm and how it overcomes his ability to make routine errors...he also had dangeloser pegged by saying eventhough he had less errors than valentin he had no range at all and the cubs would do good to look to hit the ball his way.. stoney might harp on our weaknesses but this guy does his homework
  12. dont be too hard on him...we do have a one run lead because of his 2 out double
  13. we had to figure this was gonna happen eventually...what was uribe , a 250 lifetime hitter spending his whole career at coors...i guess it just took american league pitchers a few go rounds to figure out where the holes are in his swing..hopefully he can adjust a little and still finish with his best year at the dish
  14. id cut him a little slack...he had a huge two out hit and plays RF about once a month...and wrigley with those cut outs probably has the toughest RF in baseball to play..still though..it hit him right in the glove :puke
  15. i was thinking something similiar...dusty the pitcher torturer
  16. it's tme we find this guy more PT....maybe some games in CF...he's represent something we really need..lefty power...can he play a good enough CF to play it part -time???
  17. i didnt hear that..in fact i heard something like ozzie said he thought it was gone too...but if he did..it obviously didnt sink in with carlos...who's still posing...i just dont understand why its so hard to run full speed out of the box... the only guy id actually be willing to give a pass to is thomas...because of his size, age and hammy problems this year
  18. thats just it bob..clee didnt learn...he did the same thing yesterday..he is posing at home plate for a homer that fell in the 2nd row of the bleachers and lew ford almost brought it back into the field of play..HE DIDNT LEARN...because ozzie didnt do anything about it...
  19. http://sports.espn.go.com/espn/page2/story?page=kruk/040702 my favorite point "I don't want to sound like I'm calling Lee out on this. Sure, I blame him, partially. But some of the blame needs to go to front office and the manager, Ozzie Guillen, for putting up with that. The very next inning, Ozzie should have waited until their pitcher was ready to go, called time-out and pulled Lee in front of everyone in the whole damn stadium -- with the TV cameras rolling, too. You better believe Lee would have gotten the message then." bingo!!!
  20. there have been rumors flying around that thats exactly what he is thinking...keeping my fingers crossed
  21. im suppose to disregaurd all his positives because he walks 4 batters per 9 IP??? sox starters are averaging about 3 walks per 9 innings..thats only one more walk per start..plus all our starters have given up more hits per IP except for garland..every year since 99 ortiz has given up less hits than IP the positives outweigh the negatives.. btw..didnt realize that garland was our only starter that has given up less hits than IP..shows he is throwing alot of quality innings..good job jon!!!
  22. so far i have to go with the '00 offense...remember the 2nd half the only healthy pitcher we had was sirotka..baldwin and eldred we on the DL..parque was ineffective most of the 2nd half and we never did find a 5th starter...sean lowe was our number 2 starter for awhile and he hadnt started since he was in the cardinals minor league system despite that the offense still found a way to score enough runs to finish the 2nd half 3 games over .500 and never really let cleveland make a serious challenge that offense stepped up bigtime when called upon...this offense hasnt been tested like that yet..and i pray to God they never are
