okay i made a few adjustments to the final numbers..i added .10 points to assists to make them worth .25...this will help the lighter hitting infielders (mostly ss / 2b and a few defenisive 3b)...if a player finished with 500 assists , it would raise his point total by 50 points from what was in my examples in the above post...its not a dramatic increase , just enough to help a light hitting SS compete with an average OF so we can fill the extra positions with players how can get you point...i figure if a SS and an of hit the same , the SS deserves more points for his contributions on defnese... the final positions are as follows: c , 1b , 2b , 3b , ss , lf , cf , rf , of , 2ut , middle infielder , corner infielder pitchers: 3SP , 4RP , 2p 22 total positions 30 roster spots noDL , i figure with 8 bench players there is plenty of room for the DL on your rosters.. unless you guys want less we will go with 15 keeper spots for next year sop its more like managing a real club..we can go lower if thats what the majority wants...wanna make this as fun as i can for everyone hope the 945 central draft time is okay..i would have loved an hour earlier..i tried to accomadate our west coast fans gettng home from work because we have about 3 or 4 in the league i think...

Let's see....Danny only won 14 games for us last year. Yeah, he really sucks. you beat me to that response

have you been watching jimenez play 2nd base??...he is horrible ..durham was considered a liability but jimenez is worse..no range whatsoever and errors everywhere...he shows a pretty good relay arm..ill give him that here are durham's 162 game averages over a 7 year career 112r, 177h , 35d , 8t, 15hm , 68rbi , 31sb, 278 avg , 352 obp , 783ops those numbers are his lifetime averages, ill bet anything jimenez will never come close to these numbers over his career...durham is also a 2 time all star..bet you jimenez wont make two of those either Baggs, I gotta say this. Ray was ripped way too harshly defensively when with the Sox, imo. He did a heck of a job, but as many have mentioned he was way too streaky. The thing I love about Jimenez is his willingness to go deep into counts, and he isn't looking to hit the homer every at bat. He does have some pop in his bat, but he will be a guy that could put up a .375 + obp year in year out. I want to see him become a better/more effecient base stealer. He has very good speed, yet he never uses it. This guy should be capable of 20-30 steals. He doesn't have Ray Ray speed, but he's quick. I'd also like to see him become a better bunter. I love how he's a slap hitter that works deep into the counts and will rarely strike out as he develops. Defensively I think he's average. Very good arm. i hope you are right about jimenez's range but where has it been??...every ball hit between him and paully is going through mostly untouched...no matter how slow...in 5 games i havent seen him make a play where he had to range to his left...on tv..the showed higgenson taking that "oops i got fooled swing" and hit a ball in the hole netween 1st and 2nd...it wasnt hit hard because he was looking for a fast ball and was slowing down his swing to make contact..then they show jimenez and he is still standing still..takes two steps then the ball goes through..and how many balls went between him and paully in kc???.. like i said i hope youre right but com d'angelo, show me something in the field

Gotta give him a chance first though Baggs. While I'm usually in agreement with you baseball-wise, you picked a bad day to rip on Jimenez..... a solo HR and a HUGE 2 RBI double that would have probably been 3 RBI's if that jackoff wouldn't have interferred with a ball in play that added to a 3-2 White Sox lead. And as for Jimenez's range, with the exception a few great defensive plays you occasionally got out of Ray Durham (you'll get a few gems out of Jimenez too..... trust me), his range isn't what I would consider to be exceptional..... IMHO. Stewart was today's player of the game but consideration also has to be thrown over to Jimenez for two big offensive hits. not ripping on him...just saying its way too premature to say he is gonna be a better ballplayer than durham...lets not forget jimenez is no rookie anymore...over 773 lifetime at bats jimenez 264 average , 36d , 8t , 7hr, 8sb (6 cs) , 343 obp , 701ops...those numbers are well below durham's averages for his career...let alone his career year numbers i think jimenez , if he gets his head out of his ass defensively and with some timely hitting can contribute to the sox...my defense of durham might have sounded like i ripping on him...he can help this team..but he will; never , imo put up durham type numbers...durham had a hell of a 7 year run here

this is hilarious 10. No one tells them when exhibition season ends and that these losses COUNT! 9. Dugout is warmer than standing out there on second base--especially with less than two out. 8. Poor early season performance guarantees players three days off in July. 7. Betting on how many straight losses team will open season with has become annual event in Motown. 6. Poor starts allow team to catch other teams by surprise in May. 5. Rookies are inexperienced but show remarkable ability to follow pattern set by veteran players. 4. Hitting is 50 percent physical, 50 percent mental and 100 percent absent. 3. Team concept is so ingrained that no one wants to break out of the pack by going 3 for 4 and maybe getting 2 ribbies. 2. Fans wouldn't recognize team that didn't bat in the bottom of the ninth at home. And the number 1 reason why the Tigers lose in April------ Somebody has to give Jay Leno's writers material on a topic other than Sadaam Hussein

guess the royals will add to their career best start
-
we dont run because we dont have any speed now that durham is gone and valentin is now in his mid 30's

Watch them bring out the, "it's only been a week!" excuse. Eh, I'll be showing off my Crede jersey tomorrow. Pathetic that the Cubs lose 2/3 to the Reds. And to think they were gloating about the Sox being swept by the Royals. lost 2 of 3 to the "griffeyless" reds well.for most of the series
-
they put him in because he was warming up when it was a 3-2 game..he was already loose...

Remember..... JM said that MB and BC were going to start alot of games in the first half of 2003 because of the way MLB did the scheduling..... and we have an off day on 04/08. i think jerry is on the hot seat myself...if he doesnt win with this team he has to be gone..so he is gonna get as many starts as he can early for buehrle and colon..lets just hope he doesnt throw their arm's out

whats matt anderson's lifetime era against the sox..everytime he pitches against us it seems like somebody hits a big bomb..he has to hate comming here
-
i know but ill still take them hell ya we wil take them..detroit givith and we taketh
-
white got hiself on track yesterday..id like to see kelly wunsch for an inning today to get him sharp for cleveland
-
eight runs after 2 out..lol..all these runs are unearned thanks to the sparks error
-
the error by sparks was what gave us the big inning...we had runner on 3rd with no outs and then we went to to two outs w/o moving him scoring..if we were playing the twinkies they wouldnt have made that error and the game would have went to the 9th tied at 2 and we would have blown a golden opportunity...we wont get this lucky and by playing the tigers all year..all these runs are unearned..this team still has to prove it against somebody not named detroit...or tampa
-
stupid fans never learn..might have cost us a run
-
HOLY COW...that 3-1 pitch to olivo look like a strike too...geez did we get the breaks today...and we will gladly take them
-
he normally isnt this bad, he is just in a really bad slump right now, you can see he is getting frustraded. HE SUX!!!
-
and rowand pops out..we cant manufacture nothing
-
wow..that 3-2 pitch to crede sure looked like strike 3...we are getting all kinds of breaks here AND DUMBASS CABALLO FOULS OUT !!!...GOD I HATE HIM
-
ist baseman doesnt know where to throw it...sparks drops the ball!!!!konerko beats it..hahahahahahaha tie game and going for more
-
what we doubt is their ability to manufacture runs in a low scoring game...we got lucky here with the past ball and having our smartest hitter at the plate...
-
steve sparks into pitch...maybe we can get our first stolen base with maggs on first???
-
runner on 2nd , no outs and magglio gets a base hit to RIGHT FIELD...just beautiful!!!!
