  1. and they just let their best DH walk
  2. my point being it didn't matter how he produced, they were gonna let him play regardless of whether he busts out or not what's his projected fWAR for 2023? ?
  3. Should've dealt Vaughn 2 years ago if they could get something decent. I feel like they pencilled Vaughn in as franchise 1B the day they drafted him
  4. Good for him, has a legit shot at a ring now
  5. idk, Team D is still atrocious. Both IF and OF and behind the plate.
  6. I'll wager a guess that Cueto will get more/year than Clevinger did Maybe not more years but more dollars per
  7. idk about Giolito, the more I think about it, his velocity loss is pretty concerning
  8. I don't think Reylo is going anywhere, his role is too valuable for what the Sox need right now (talented guy who stays healthy in a spot start/long reliever role, due to having question marks in the rotation and pen) plus I doubt he brings back anything of value (could be wrong)
  9. the only way this works out is if he's back to his high K / low BB form, or the Sox defense gets wayyyyyy better this could very well end up not working out at all
  10. I think this is probably the best time to move Kopech if the return is good, he's actually healthy
  11. I have a feeling some contracts are gonna be dumped, guys who ppl weren't expecting to be traded
  12. It's absolutely a coaching/development issue. Guys like Wong and Kepler could go to Houston or NYY and perform well because those organizations understand all that goes into getting the most from just about every player on their 26m roster. This is what worries me about the Sox. I'm glad they shook up their coaching but idk if they picked the right people. I know that the ones who were here before absolutely sucked at their jobs and had no respect from the players.
  13. friend of mine who watched a shitload of NLC games the last 10 years: "Dude he's not the same guy now that he was in STL, plus he's getting fat"
  14. you know that's what they'll do too, fucking bullshit

to be fair didn't they have the highest offer Wheeler got?
  16. is it the scouting or player development? I'm leaning more on PD personally
  17. joejoesox replied to Texsox's topic in Pale Hose Talk
question is, was his down year just your typical regression/age, or was it due to a league change/unfamiliarity with AL pitching
  18. is this the poorest built $180+ million team ever I'm sure someone will pick a Yankees or red Sox team but this one is pretty meh
  19. I'm sold. Someone call Jerry
  20. Doesnt the MLB have a league wide rule against using any federally scheduled drug?
  21. Jake Burger is AAAA fodder now? come on
  22. So Mariners are going for it you think?
