  1. Ozzie was right, they need an actual fucking psychiatrist
  2. the slow start, sticky ban, "new coaching philosophy that everyone is trying to learn", and everyone pressing too hard to overcompensate for the hole theyve dug is the biggest reasons outside of the same old organizational failures we've all talked about for the last 4-5 years I truly don't think most of these guys are nearly as bad as they're playing, I really don't (some guys are like Andrus, Romy, and the kid from the Royals that Grifol brought with him) Diekman wasn't this awful before he came here, and Bummer was good before his injury
  3. Sticky stuff ban has almost 100% correlation to our pitchers suddenly forgetting how to throw a baseball. Listen to that Lance Lynn interview with AJ, he made it sound like they were using it a lot (could just be the way I interpreted it but you should listen to that interview!)
  4. yeah but the story has already been written, that series is just 4 games of formalities
  5. ball fucking game ?
  6. god this made me laugh, I miss hawk NGL
  7. I would say there's a near zero percent chance that the Sox coaches know these numbers re: Burgers speed
  8. that's so hard to believe lol
  9. what's this thing about Burger being a fast runner based on the stats, anyone heard this? He's supposedly in the top 15% or some s%*# (Robert in the top 11%) sounds ridiculous personally
  10. he isn't a starter, they'll figure it out eventually. he's got all the potential to be a badass reliever and possibly closer though
  11. yeah a new manager isn't gonna fix the deep rooted problems, it might make the fans less rabid because it would appear like they were trying to fix s%*# but as I've said already in another thread, they've had 5+ managers in the last 12 years. that's something that really really inept front offices do to save their own jobs
  12. Why can't JR just transfer ownership to his son. I know there's a whole board making decisions about this kind of s%*# but doesn't he have a controlling stake? Ive heard repeatedly that JR makes all the decisions. Does his son not wanna deal with this? I thought people were saying that his son was gonna be controlling the team after JR is gone
  13. I can't remember the last time they were swepped in back to back series they really are in trouble
  14. Jim is fucking awesome. And if Jim posts here and has me blocked, ITS OK you still rock.
  15. the only thing that would shake up the front office is JR in the ground.
  16. Giolito stopped listening to him lololol
  17. seems like an awesome guy to talk to/have a beer with but I agree, not cut out for commentary
  18. odds that Grifol is really the issue here? not preparing these guys like past coaches?
  19. PM me the deets, I don't even care how true it is, I'll be your huckleberry fathom
  20. No salvaging this because there's multiple reasons for why they're bad. I'll be honest I never gave much thought to the clubhouse toxicity theory but it makes so much sense in hindsight. Couple that with possibly the worst major league/minor league infrastructure and a rookie coach whos literally only ever known failure as an ex-Royal, hoooo boy.
  21. yup that was a huge ?
  22. They'd win more games if they DFA/Traded their current roster and brought up minor league fodder. I really do agree that it looks like the clubhouse has been obliterated during TLR.
