Baseball is supposed to be entertainment and for the most part, since the All Star break, this team has been entertaining to watch. I got a month of CHSN at the beginning of the Cubby series and have enjoyed watching some Sox baseball again. Will I keep it more than that month? Maybe not, but I am looking forward to staying up a little later to watch them blow a late lead on the West Coast....it's tradition.

Just back from a cruise, nice series against the Phillies and probably should have won 2 games in the Cubs series. if JR decided all at once to spend a few bucks on 2 or 3 free agents, I think the Sox could contend for a Wild Card in 2026. Right now the Pythagorean stat has this years White Sox at 47-62 which is sort of amazing after  how bad this team was in 2024.
I’m not sure what to think of Getz deciding to keep Robert, the positive side of me has me thinking the Luis has finally figured things out and at 27 years old will wind up with a decent 2025 and becomes a superstar next year as the Sox become  a competitive club. The negative side of me has me thinking that Robert will probably wind up on the IL while reverting to what we have seen the last year and a half. There’s also the possibility that Robert has an insane last 2 months with the bat and during the off season teams will be lined up with over the top offers for Robert.

Wonder if Moncada plays much this series.

Anything is possible but I find that hard to believe.

My wife and I are coincidentally on vacation in Huntington Beach not far from Anaheim and thinking about going to the game tonight. Anyone have any experience at Angels Stadium?

I ended my Reinsdorf exile in July. I probably watched more Sox games than I did the past 2 seasons.

That would also depend other teams getting worse.  That also depends on team health. The worst is the TJ virus.

Is that on your computer? Can you rerun the game later on?

I haven't been to Angels Stadium so I can't comment on that, but I always enjoy checking out a new stadium. If you have the opportunity, go for it! Maybe someone like @CaliSoxFanViaSWside can give some input.

It's fun. I got heckled by one guy because of my Sox hat. This is probably about 15-20 years ago. I think the food was run of the mill, then. Can't really remember anything else that stood out. We were able to walk all around the stadium and sit anywhere, really.

Sure is weird to have the sentiment that I missed having the White Sox to watch, even if only for a day.

On my Roku TV actually. I do not know if I can rerun the game later, to be honest.

Like I said, if JR decides to spend some money, it’s very possible that they could contend, the kids have given us a pretty nice nucleus to build on.

Go for it.

I have seen the Sox plenty of times back in the 80's and early 90's at the Big A. The Angels had some good teams when Gene Autry owned them.

1983 I went to the Bears & Ram game at the Big A. The Bears lost, but Walter Payton threw a TD pass to Jim McMahon which was the highlight of the day.

I’ve been to Anaheim stadium for 4 games going back to 1975 when it was as bland as the new Comiskey was before the make over starting in 2003. Never saw a game in the years they double decked the whole place to accommodate the Rams. When the Rams left they did a nice make over and it’s a pleasant place to watch a game and of course it never rains. I wore Sox jerseys and caps to the games and no one ever made a nasty comment.

Its not bad for being old as s%*#, I went to game out there last season I believe. It was around this time and we were in the RF bleachers and holy hell the sun is just beating down on you if you're there during a day game.

That’s why they call them the bleachers, I remember sitting in the bleachers at Wrigley when I was a kid (75 cents) and it could get nasty, never heard of sunscreen in those days.

Yeah I was just sweating my ass off, I wasn’t use to it because going to games in Houston the roof is always closed so it’s never an issue.

Who's pitching?
