  1. That isn’t true. I was at the game and they absolutely broadcast the first pick.
  2. I can’t imagine they needed to do this to get Thome but it’s possible I guess.
  3. Hate it. Totally agree with Ray Ray’s thoughts in the other thread.

  5. That’s legal in Illinois too. (If you’re at home)
  6. Kap is a complete mouthbreather
  7. Is that true though? The padres are nearly $150 million behind the dodgers in 2026 payroll according to what I found via spotrac, and I’m not even sure if that includes all of LA’s deferrals. The gap between SD and LA is bigger than the gap between SD and nearly every single other team in baseball.
  8. There are definitely some, for sure. I don’t think anyone is disputing that. But there are also many that simply can’t. Jerry could be the owner that we all wish, and he simply couldn’t do what the Dodgers are doing.
  9. Feels like you’re being a bit obtuse here. The core argument here isn’t that the Yankees can’t compete with the Dodgers, the argument is that the Guardians, Pirates, White Sox, etc can’t compete with the Dodgers.
  10. He's been absolutely horrid in pass protection. He was just abused yesterday over and over
  11. It’s shocking how consistently bad our special teams is - particularly on kickoff coverage. We scored a big touchdown in the second half yesterday to get back in the game, and immediately allowed the return out to almost midfield. The defense forced a punt on that drive, but the resulting awful field position helped lead to the interception inside our own ten yard line. Duvernet did have one unusually nice return, but also put the ball on the ground and was fortunate to recover it. Overall it feels like special teams is consistently putting us at a disadvantage.
  12. Breathtakingly stupid post
  13. Braden now up to nearly .900 OPS in Birmingham, which actually is his highest OPS at any of the three levels he played at this year. Dude is on an absolute tear right now.
