  1. again, Rick just needs to trade for consensus top prospects. that isnt hard to do so long as there are offers. but as far as the rest of the rebuild (coaching, scouts, technology, minor league development, he cannot be allowed to handle any of that s%*# trading for prospects is the easy part, developing them into above average MLB players is gonna be tough until they blow it up and bring in people who have a track record
  2. JR sucks but the level of spending isn't what's killing this franchise. its how they spend their money. they are inept, they don't invest in quality coaching, technology, scouting, nor do they sign the right free agents (check out the latest Southside Sox article on Rick Hahn in the other thread) TB spends a fraction of what the Sox do. It's not that JR doesn't spend, it's that he's letting unqualified ivy leaguers use his debit card.
  3. This is the answer I've been preaching the last 3 years on this forum. People gotta stop giving them their money. Instead I get the most ridiculous excuses for why that won't work. It will work, it works in literally every single industry. Don't let people gaslight you into believing nonsense. If they lose money, shareholders and investors will demand change, period.
  4. Even if the Sox come back and win this game, it's so obvious they're worse than last year, this might be some of the worst Sox baseball in a two week span I've seen in maybe 10 years
  5. props to the camera crew if they can sneak in a few shots of fans leaving this shithole
  6. he won't be around long. someone has to be the fall guy when your GM has a lifetime contract.
  7. Walking Mullins with the bases juiced with 2 outs on 4 pitches is ? ?
  8. pitchers should just load the bases against the Sox. opponents ERA when the Sox have the bases juiced has gotta be pretty low.
  9. I would say it's pretty safe to assume Grifol will probably be gone in 3 years.
  10. Look at the list for: Cleveland, KC, and Minnesota over the same time span. Sox have CLEARLY had an issue with burning through managers. I don't give a s%*# how you include Ozzie/Cooper, the point still stands on the data and the data is clear cut.
  11. Thread title says it all. I wonder how hard it would be for any team to succeed when there's a new coach every 2.4 years on average. I could've said 6 managers if I wanted to split hairs.
  12. They let our best hitter and clubhouse leader and possibly (?) the cog that drives the Cuban Pipeline to Chicago go to a team that has absolutely crushed us in recent years yes he's older, he's slower, and based on fWAR (especially last year) not worth 20/yr but imo he's gonna bounce back and have a great year in Houston, his early numbers aren't concerning at all to me. I'd rather have Abreu at DH than a guy who plays 100 games a year.
