6 hours ago6 hr Love the roster churn when some things aren't working. As a starter or out of the bullpen this is a boost
6 hours ago6 hr Fedde's been getting slapped around over his last 4-5 starts. I wonder if he gets a phantom injury, becomes the mop up dude, or DFA.
6 hours ago6 hr He's not stretched out enough to replace a starter yet in my opinion. My guess is Richards, and he piggybacks with Burke tomorrow
6 hours ago6 hr Wouldn't they wait until his turn if he was replacing Fedde? Of course maybe that is the plan as the FS sources have been getting these call-ups early.
6 hours ago6 hr I don't think they would call Leasure up, and after his first outing of giving up runs they just DFA himI could be wrong, my bet is still fedde. also they need to get Ben People's up here
6 hours ago6 hr It's crazy how Leasure can't figure something out. Just gives up too many homers. Is Winkleman still hurt?

Of course maybe that is the plan as the FS sources have been getting these call-ups early. If I had to guess, he pitches in some capacity tomorrow, as it’s his turn in the Charlotte rotation, and then takes Fedde’s spot with an opener of his own the first time through. He got up near 70 pitches his last start, so he’s almost stretched out, but not quite all the way.

But Ill admit I never checked how he was pitching before that. What you say makes sense although a 1 or 2 inning role is also possible because every time they try to plug a hole it hasnt been working out. But that might not be ideal in order to keep him prepared for spot starts or piggybacking for longer stints .

Schultz was also pitching very well for a longer period and he has struggled.
4 hours ago4 hr See no issue here. Even if he settles as a 2-3 inning guy, the team could use that right now
4 hours ago4 hr I hope to God they plan on starting Sandlin. He is the only guy left standing from their starter depth in AAA. He threw 71 pitches his last time out. I could see him throwing 85 to 90 his next time out. That may be 5 innings. That’s better than a lot of their starters lately. Fun fact: He works out in the offseason in the same place as Davis Martin and Gabe Davis, which is owned by former Sox reliever Lane Ramsey. As far as who’s going down? I dunno.

If that’s the case, might not be as tall an order as some think and is just about building his strength back up while breaking him in.Just let me pine for us finding our version of Merkowsky or whatever that dudes name is. 😆

Getz hyped him up pretty good after the trade and expected him to be a contributing piece to this years team but thats mostly just GM talk , but he was the centerpiece of that trade and the money to pay for Hcks and acquire Sandlin came from the Luis Robert trade as did the money to pay Hays and Dominguez. Unfortunate that a measly $20M from the Robert trade was the only way to get all those players but it just goes to show the restrictions he's been working under. Had to get creative.
