QUOTE (JoeCoolMan24 @ Apr 2, 2011 -> 12:34 PM) How was it a good call? Who was Carrasco fooling up to that point? He couldn't even buy an out, so why give him one for free? It was 1-0, you cant just assume that were gonna score 15 runs every game (even though its lookin like it now) but I don't see why there is a problem having your 9th man bunt guys to 3rd and 2nd, and eliminate the double play.. Like I said, I thought that was fine, hes just gotta execute

QUOTE (Brian @ Apr 2, 2011 -> 11:48 AM) I knoe, right. He says he thinks he made the right decision but that had gotta be BS. He acts like it is still the Attitude Era or something. Move on, have the match, go in the Hall of Fame, and retire respectfully. It's not like WWE will make him work full time for a year. I just don't get how dealing with TNAs mess could be more inciting than pretty much headlining Wrestlemania.. He could have had a pretty sweet gig right there

Attention TV watchers - Sox news!

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Apr 2, 2011 -> 11:52 AM) It will be on at 1, this is a national WGN broadcast. Yeah I know, they already had a commercial saying it was coming on next.. its just unusual there is no pregame and its just gonna start right into the game..

QUOTE (The Baconator @ Apr 2, 2011 -> 11:44 AM) What the crap is this, WGN? I see CSN has the cubs' pregame show so I flipped over to WGN for our pregame show... they have some cartoon playing. And in this cartoon they were fighting with card things- except the 'beast' summoned was a plant. Is this seriously what kids have to watch now? More importantly- where is my pregame show?! My WGN has some Chuck Norris crap on, the game better come on next

QUOTE (whitesox91403 @ Mar 31, 2011 -> 11:33 AM) Wouldn't it be The Undertaker? He's been off for long periods of time with injuries, but I'm pretty sure he was always a part of the roster. Depends, my "fairly sure" was me saying I THINK Isaac Yankem was already around.. but it could be possible Undertaker was here before him.. he prolly was, I just know Kane has been around forever

QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Mar 30, 2011 -> 03:10 PM) Im sorry should have clarified, he came over from WCW at the merger and has never left the company. ahh ok I understand now after re-reading.. but going back to that, I am actually fairly confident that Kane is the longest tenured wrestler in WWE right now.. Its funny thinking about Kane.. he was Isaac Yankem and the Fake Diesel.. and then he became Kane and has had prolly a very easy and fullfilling career.. hes never had to have the burden of being the main draw of the company, but at the same time he has always been a "dominant" wrestler.. pretty sweet gig

QUOTE (Brian @ Mar 30, 2011 -> 08:27 PM) Benoit and Eddie came before the merger, Rey a few years after lol the radicals.. I remember when Guerrero, Benoit, Malenko, and Saturn all had to win their matches on RAW that night to stay in WWE and the only thing I remember is all 4 lost with Benoit losing to HHH..

QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Mar 30, 2011 -> 12:26 PM) Fun fact, who is the only active member of WWE to never have left the company since the merger of WWE and WCW? edit: and this guy was also in WCW Hmm, I don't think Kane has gone anywhere either..

QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Mar 29, 2011 -> 07:06 PM) Did you know you can make Wrestlemania bets on some sports betting websites? That blows my mind. why does that blow your mind? there's really no way to know who is going to win unless you're Vince McMahon.. things change in an instance all the time, and especially with wrestlemania the only thing that is a sure bet is Undertaker is gonna win

Sox Sign Lastings Milledge to MLC
just to add, I don't think Millidge is bad but I really didn't have faith in Ozzie taking him over one of the guys he "likes"

QUOTE (SoxFan562004 @ Mar 26, 2011 -> 11:05 AM) wrestling needs a major storyline or a phenomenal new star to grab people again. I'm 32 and watched wrestling since I was really little. I use to go to the Horizon shows with my Uncle, dad and cousin with British Bulldogs, Heart Foundation, Hulk, Mr. Wonderful, etc... so probably since I was about 7 or 8. Watched it a lot until about HS, then the cartoony era of WWF stopped watching, NWO angle in WCW and ECW got me back into it and I began watching all 3 pretty strongly. Then interest ebbed again. How has everybody's wrestling interest cycle gone? Anyone watch it non-stop for their whole life or have a similar pattern to me where it's on and off again. I know my uncle who is in his mid 60s has followed some form of pro wrestling for basically his whole life. Not like he watches it religiously, but he still is pretty up to date on it. For me, I just didn't connect with some of the new guys E was pushing, there's one I think was horrible. (No need to name him, don't want to start a thread about that and I'm sure there were lame wrestlers I enjoyed who others hated in the past). ill always watch wrestling, I just enjoy it.. its entertaining to me even if they don't do everything right..

QUOTE (nitetrain8601 @ Mar 25, 2011 -> 06:27 PM) I love heel Punk, but ever since the Undertaker debacle, they've given him terrible storylines or have turned them terrible. Instead of Punk vs Orton at Mania, why not Punk and Barrett? Why even split up Nexxus? Why not have them get every title out there like a true nWo, but young. Seriously, the E needs to do away with the Nexxus/Corre storyline as they miffed on it several times over. Punk needs to be in the title picture. meh, E doesnt need to do anything like nWo.. they already brought in the nWo years ago and it flopped horribly.. let it die
