  1. QUOTE (rangercal @ May 1, 2009 -> 09:42 PM) That is a stupid comparison PERIOD. You can not compare players that are almost 10 percentage points apart in fg%. John Salmons has a better 3 pt% than Larry Hughes has fg%. FG % could mean the difference between NBA and CBA. Does completion % matter to you in football? How about Era in baseball? Maybe if you compare the two, you should really clarify yourself. I didn't say Hughes is as good as Salmons. I just said they both have terrible shot selection and don't pass the ball. Hughes shot 40% this year, Salmons 47%. If you would have read what I said you would have got this instead of blanketing the fact that I compared them. I just said they both have terrible shot selection.
  2. QUOTE (BearSox @ Apr 30, 2009 -> 08:38 PM) We could have him in CF right now (tear rolls down my eye) Yeah, I don't know about you, but I love guys that are slugging .349!
  3. QUOTE (rangercal @ May 1, 2009 -> 08:31 AM) To the couple people who compare John Salmons and Larry Hughes... Stop it. I only compared their shot selection and I stand by that. Salmons doesn't pass the ball. It's just that his shot goes in more often than Hughes' does. QUOTE (rangercal @ May 1, 2009 -> 09:41 AM) Best playoff series of all time? Ranks up there. But not #1 because it is the first round. Stupid argument. The level of excitement is unmatched. The round it took place in has nothing to do with that. QUOTE (rangercal @ May 1, 2009 -> 09:59 AM) It's not so much that the games were better, it's because more chips were at stake in later rounds. If you are looking at best series without looking at the rounds, then this series is the best, imo. Again, why does that matter? I don't buy that there is more at stake. One team is going home regardless. When it's this close, that's a very real possibility for either so it's not like the players would try harder if it was the finals. QUOTE (SoxFan1 @ May 1, 2009 -> 11:47 AM) I just want to add that Brad Miller is the biggest wigger in the universe. His gangster/thug life celebrations were hilarious. Jason Williams before he went to the Heat? Chris Andersen? Eric Devendorf?
  4. QUOTE (SoxFan1 @ Apr 30, 2009 -> 09:19 PM) New tactic: Roberson and Gray start game 7 and immediately after the tip off, they take out Allen and Rondo? Haha, that would be something to witness. Gray, Roberson and Del Negro would have record-setting suspensions.
  5. Yay for Brad Miller. Ok, can the Bulls screw this up? No Pierce, you know the focus is Allen. If House beats the Bulls, I'm ok. Allen better do it with a guy in his face (which he's done several times).
  6. QUOTE (lostfan @ Apr 30, 2009 -> 08:19 PM) Salmons is such a ballhog. But right now the Bulls need that. Rose is nowhere to be found and Gordon has fouled out. It's annoying when they aren't going in though.
  7. QUOTE (kyyle23 @ Apr 30, 2009 -> 08:03 PM) Not Gordons finest night No, which is the only reason I'm not dreading him being out. I mean, I'd rather have him in, but they've gotten this far with him not being a major factor.
  8. QUOTE (WilliamTell @ Apr 30, 2009 -> 07:52 PM) The Celtics haven't scored since I've been watching. The Bulls have scored 5. DON'T YOU DARE STOP WATCHING
  9. Pierce missed that? More head explosion. Brain guts are everywhere.
  10. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Apr 30, 2009 -> 07:37 PM) This series is over. It's not, but it should have been over in 5 games with the Bulls winning it.
  11. Pretty bland report. We knew he was athletic, we knew he is hitting for more power than in college and we knew he Ks too much. I want to like Jordan for the reasons that scout said though: body type and tools. I'm trying to ignore my fears of his Ks, but he has been doing much better lately.
  12. QUOTE (dasox24 @ Apr 29, 2009 -> 07:04 PM) I would just like to say that this is the most active I've seen the minor league board in a couple years, and I love it. So many years I've followed the minors and sometimes you'd get 2 or 3 replies in a gameday thread. Now, we're going 2-3 pages some days. I guess that's bound to happen, though, when KW finally restocks the minors. Agreed, it's awesome.
  13. It was a boring play, but it wasn't a terrible shot. I agree that they could have done better though.
  14. QUOTE (SoxFan562004 @ Apr 27, 2009 -> 02:03 PM) Most people who evaluated prospects had him rated higher than Daniels. Wasn't something like Mizzou went to the new system and Daniels had run the spread in HS so he got the early nod and never relinquished it? More or less that's right. Patton is tall and has a big arm, but isn't as mobile and isn't as accurate from 20 yards or less. Problem for Daniel is that he can't throw beyond 25 yards worth much in terms of NFL QBs.
  15. If I accidentally killed a person I would be too.
  16. QUOTE (witesoxfan @ Apr 27, 2009 -> 08:42 AM) oh don't worry, it's been updated Haha nice.
  17. The Bears also signed Northwestern WR Eric Peterman. They have scheduled tryouts with Mizzou backup QB Chase Patton and NCAA all-time percentage leader for kickers, Jeff Wolfert. Patton was an Elite 11 QB out of high school and is hoping to pull a Cassel. Wolfert doesn't have a big leg, but is consistent.
  18. You should update your Sweeney tracker to include his sub .650 OPS so far this year.
  19. Absolutely. It's tough because most of the time Hinrich, Salmons and Rose have done a decent job on Pierce and Allen, but they've made some big shots.
  20. QUOTE (kyyle23 @ Apr 26, 2009 -> 02:10 PM) Two days ago it was no big deal. Now we know that the sleeping giant was awoken Yes, but at this point the Bulls will have to blow it more than the Celts making plays.
