  1. Yeah, but he has been awesome in the clutch. With RISP he has an awesome 1.023 OPS. That's far from least valuable, that's top ten in the AL.
  2. Yeah. The affiliate is just a place for the players to play. They don't own the rights to the players.
  3. That's almost as bad as when one of my friends worked at Browns for a while...before he got fired!
  4. See, that's your problem. That's not what an MVP is. That's most improved player or breakout player, whatever.
  5. That's fair enough, but if you are going to take least valuable player from the guys that have been with the team most of the year it has to be Mike Jackson or Koch considering he was so bad we got rid of him. They had no value on this team.
  6. I don't think Rowand was the team MVP either. Uribe has batted .268 there is no way he can be considered team MVP when guys like Konerko and Lee having been doing well all season long.
  7. The Barons owe the Sox since they got MJ, aka the biggest draw ever in Minor League Baseball. They aren't leaving the Sox for a while.
  8. That defeats the purpose. If a guy sucks a guy sucks.
  9. I saw this article on chisox.com when looking for news on Jackson's release. I didn't see it posted within the past day as chisox.com posted it today. Link
  10. To say Uribe is MVP is a joke. By your reasoning he was the reason we started losing, thus making him important overall, but not valuable this season. He had 1 awesome month, one good month, the rest horrible until August.
  11. Rowand has scored 14 more runs, however Konerko has driven in 40 more. If Rowand was getting playing time all season he is the MVP, however he hasn't done enough the whole season to warrant that. If Carlos Lee wasn't such a dope he could easily be the MVP, scoring 78 and driving in 83. Let's not forget the most valuable split: RISP. Lee is hitting .323 with a .932 OPS, Konerko .319 with a .989 OPS, Rowand .250 with a .757 OPS. The numbers don't lie. Our team MVP is NOT Aaron Rowand.
  12. Of course the Knights will be staying in Charlotte. It's the White Sox staying in Charlotte that is news. I'm personally disappointed, I wanted the Sox to move closer to me, lol.
  13. JGar! He will put it together, he is still only 24.
  14. As a non American, Canadian, or Puerto Rican (I think) he wasn't eligible for the draft. He was signed as a free agent.
  15. Exactly. They are just Illinois fans, nothing wrong with that. People just need to be reasonable.
  16. Through the wild card rule the Warthogs have clinched a playoff spot by defeating Salem 10-9 today. Sweeney 3-4, Rogo 2-4, each with a walk. Pitching not pretty for W-S. Box Score Charlotte and Kanny got postponed.
  17. That's it? Wow, that did suck.
  18. I have to agree with that. Some of the other fonts are much cooler, but I'm not going to be picky.
  19. This has been a crazy inning. From 2 hit batsmen (and bad ones at that) to the most 1 RBI singles with the bases loaded I have ever seen in one inning.
  20. Kinston won the first half title and is in 1st this half so Winston-Salem will get in on the wildcard. They are the 2nd place team in the 2nd half. At least this is what was said on one of their broadcasts. This is from the Winston-Salem Journal backing up my statement:
  21. .277 with a .451 slugging.
  22. Also, I was checking up on the first rounders taken this year. Fields is doing worse than most of the hitters, but only 1 or 2 others are in High A. Most of the guys in the top 10 haven't played much yet.
  23. Why not? The Hogs are going to make the playoffs, they could use the help.
