  1. As you may know if you watch PTI, Tony and Wilbon refer to some players as their boys. If they like the player/coach and support him/her they will call him their boy. So I was wondering who are "your boys" throughout Minor League baseball, Sox or not. Sox players: Felix Diaz- I really think he can make it in the bigs. Brian Anderson the "other" Josh Fields (reliever, Birmingham)- Great numbers this season. Matt Smith Eduardo Villacis- Great pickup from the Royals. Brandon McCarthy Rafael Flores Daniel Haigwood- Same name as me. Josh Hansen Yunior Novoa Evan Tartaglia Non-Sox players: Jeremy Reed Kurt Suzuki- impressed me in Super Regionals despite struggling in CWS (.313 in Northwest League) J.A. Happ- Northwestern (All Big Ten this year, doing well in NY-Penn League)
  2. What's with Kanny at home vs. on the road? 23-28 at home, 30-18 on the road.
  3. A couple of mistakes that I wasn't sure what to make of them: This was under Gray as hitter of the week.... This was under Stewart as pitcher of the week. How can a pitcher get hit by a pitch in an AL park? I thought it was line drive, but instead of making the mistake myself and making it worse I'll let you fix it to whatever you meant. And I'm too lazy to look up the stats, but I have a hard time believe Sweeney is a runner up while his average went up 3 points to .275 during the week. It's not like he is a speedster or a power hitter so what was impressive?
  4. It does now, MILB.com takes some time to update the box score. They update it partially. It's currently got the Dizard line and I didn't edit the link.
  5. Much better than last time! This gave us readers some good info.
  6. Does anyone read my posts?
  7. Am I supposed to know what you are talking about?
  8. You just have to know how to look for them. I think they are missing an inning's worth on the pitching line, but who really cares? 2 hits for Lopez, Brice, Amador, Becker, and Nicholson. Look everyone Lopez drew a walk. 16 in 306 at bats. Box
  9. I'm guessing you and his mother are the only people that call him that. Loser.
  10. I know that's it's from a Black Eyed Peas song that I don't like.
  11. I don't see any point to moving Gray up. There is a little over a month left in the season. There is always that adjustment period of getting ready for the next level and by the time he gets adjusted he has 2-3 weeks left in the season. Might as well just let him keep his confidence up going into next season. He should be in Winston-Salem next season. Brice probably just adjusted to the higher level. It is great to see him and Fields both coming along at the same time.
  12. Also, Jake Whiteside (23, OF/IF) debuted for Kanny today. David Cook was sent to Great Falls.
  13. I find that hard to believe because we never had a John Rauch. I know of a Jon Rauch however. Ok, sorry, but I hate it when people do that to Jons. ESPN did it to Rauch, I've seen posters do it to Garland. It just bothers me. I mean, would you want your name to be misspelled? I know I wouldn't want my name to be spelled Dany. I guess then people would think I'm a porn star with a name like that. Back to your normally scheduling intelligent posting. This should be thread of the year.
  14. Yeah, you mean like the 4.8 yards per carry he averaged in 2002? 5th about RBs in the NFL.... rolleyeyes.gif
  15. I'm so sick of the coverage of this series. The Yankees OWN the Red Sox. The Red Sox are like the little brother that keeps trying to beat big bro and the Yankees keep beating them down because they are bigger.
  16. OVERRATED?! He's averaged 1271 yards per season in his career, which includes a couple injury shortened seasons. He's had over 1000 yards over the past 4 seasons. Let's see how many people have done that: Ahman Green, Curtis Martin (who has over 1000 yards in all 9 of his seasons), and Ricky Williams. Eddie George was close with 939 in 2001, and over 1000 in all of his over pro seasons. Fact is Williams is one of the best RBs in the game, period.

If I'm taking a crap I don't want to be worried if I'm spewing awry after eating something nasty. I mean once you get the padding dirty, it's over. Without the padding you are closer to the hole. Ok, wow, I just overanalyzed that. However, I do think that adding glamour to the s***ter is overkill.
  18. Ya know, believe it or not, I actually liked one of her songs. I was caught watching her MTV show for, well, obvious reasons and one of the songs was actually pretty good.
  19. Geez, one day they are asking where a minor league game thread is. Then I actually start one the next day and no one cares! :banghead
  20. Oh man, I'm cracking up over that.
  21. Anyone else check this to see if one of your quotes made it and then leave?
  22. I can deal with that, but there is no logic towards taking Shoeneweis over Loaiza at this point in the season.
