Joe Posanski...Send him a message!
This guy has been bashing the Sox and their fans left and right this summer. Now I can take it, we have our flaws. We are critical here too. But his articles about us are never truthful, based on insulting, biased opinion and often hypocritical. Here are a few examples: WINDY CITy BLOWING LOTS OF HOT AIR http://www.kansascity.com/mld/kansascity/s...ski/6466757.htm ONE PLAY SAYS IT ALL ABOUT THE ROYALS http://www.kansascity.com/mld/kansascity/s...ski/6437074.htm ROYLAS TRULY THE REAL DEAL, SOON TO BE DIVISION CHAMPS http://www.kansascity.com/mld/kansascity/s...ski/6308951.htm And my fave: WHITE SOX TRYING TO SPEND THEIR WAY TO THE TOP http://www.kansascity.com/mld/kansascity/s...ski/6222806.htm This is from the KC Star Website: To reach Joe Posnanski, columnist for The Star, call (816) 234-4361 or send e-mail to jposnanski@kcstar.com

who pitches in the 9th??
What are the chances the Sox getting Troy Percival through waivers? Thats the only established closer available out there right now that could be had...

ESPN pissing me off!
Are you refering to Gammons' looking like the guy on the $20 bill? Yes sir!
-
ESPN pissing me off!
So Harold Reynolds and Jeff Brantley call us "The Thundering Herd" to roll over KC and that we made all of our moves already and KC should have made moves but didn't... Then Peter "$20" Gammons turns the conversation back to the A's ugh

ESPN pissing me off!
NOPE Came back from the break and did Cubs and Rays "highlights" Jags...
-
ESPN pissing me off!
Karl Ravech should put a reminder "Talk about the AL Central" Post-it note on his head, instead of that thing he calls a hair piece
-
ESPN pissing me off!
Earlier in the braodcast they mention that they will be discussing the AL central and the Sox. When they come back from break they discuss the Al West and JO on Rich Harden. Then they go to highlights on Rich Harden getting people grounding out. As I was typing this they just did their THIRD update on Rich Harden pitching. Nothing special, three shutout innings so far.

Shades of 83??
yeah and got blown away in the playoff. very disappointing. cruz was great! You're bringing down my high, man...
-
Shades of 83??
Another Shade of '83... We were chasing the KC Royals. They were in 1st most of the season until we caught fire in the 2nd half and blew them away. We won by 20 games that year.

Scott Showenwies
We got two hard-throwing Lefties in the bullpen with nasty breaking stuff (Marte and Shoney) A lefty specialist (Wunsch) and two hard-throwing righties (Gordon and Koch) If Koch has straightened out his machanics and is throwing that 97-99 heat. oh boy
-
Tuesday Tailgate???
I can't go Monday (my usual tickets), but I will be going Tuesday. I'll get some players tickets late Tuesday afternoon. Throw beer on the scouts. The usual.
-
Shades of 83??
A big stick moving to 2nd in the line-up (Fisk in 83, Carlos now) A second-half surge like no other... Mammoth Home-runs to crush opposing teams... A solid, underrated pitching staff... Keep the focus like they did in '83 and we'll show them what we are made of!
-
Official July 30th vs. KC Royals thread...
Can I say here I HATE Joe Randa... He creeps me out; he looks like the Joker sans make-up
-
Koch pitching simulated game
This is a good idea... Considering Koch has been simulating being a pitcher for 4 months now... But you are right...Getting him back on track would make us unstoppable. Cooper worked out Foulke's machanics last year, Koch has to be open to change.

Cotts v. Wright as 5th starter?
I wouldn't mind Cotts coming up for a bullpen role. Look what it did for Buehrle in 2000. Gave him confidence and playoff experience.
-
Aaron Boone?!?
I'm not sure we're your type, but I'll try anything once...
-
Do we need a 5th Starter?
I'd be a bastard as a manager. Besides that, you'd at least have a Keg at Third Base instead of Kimm. Party at Crede's place!
-
Do we need a 5th Starter?
I wasn't implying the remainder of the schedule was easy. I was stating that with days off, a fifth starter will only be required 5 or 6 times over the remaing two months.
