  1. My Buddy, that I have season tickets with, has the same problem with Dish Network. He finally broke down and bought an antennae to see the WCIU games. It was that or walk a few blocks down to the local watering hole to watch the games. It always seems we don't have tickets for the game on the U. We went yesterday and we're going tomorrow. I keep telling him to get Direct TV or Digital Cable.
  2. ROTFLMAO!!! I love this board.. Give ya an inch and you guys go on for miles and miles and miles... Or we could give you several inches.... Ah forget it, that joke would be cheap and tawdry.
  3. On the field..? No desire to sit there. Port-a-potties will be a joke. Good luck. No panties I know what you mean. We had club level for the Stones and we were spoiled. Port-a-Potties? No way. Thats why GOD made a Beer cup!
  4. I disagree with the "Pre-and-postgame bar-and-restaurant scene:" score. He doen't mention the Bullpen Bar, Jimbos or even Tailgating, for which he gave Edison Field a 2.5 alone.
  5. We're in section B2, right by the stage. Give a pair of your underwear, I'll throw them up there for you.

    BRUUUUUUUCE

Are they sitting all the season ticket holders in the same section?
  7. Steff, We need this guy to CALM DOWN Not get worked up again! Don't you remember how Annie calmed down Nuke in Bull Durham... Can I help you pick out the red garters for him to wear?
  8. Lay off him he's mine I can share... Ok, but I don't want Koch This's sloppy seconds!
  9. Did anyone notice during the game last night Hawk and DJ were constantly commenting on how Handsome Neal is? One exchange had them talking about casting him as the male lead in Baseball movie, if they ever made one. Things are getting close and comfy in the booth.

  11. Our 9th inning stopper maybe already in our line-up. His numbers as a starter are eerily similar to Eric Gagne and their "stuff" is similar, also Eric always had a fastball with 95-98 velocity, but you rarely saw it as a starter because he paced himself and his arm. Danny also has a fastball in the 95-97 range, if he was only in one inning, add to that a knuckle-cureve and the knowledge he only will pitch the one inning. I think he could make a great closer. Sandy Alomar said it himself that as a reliever Danny could add 3 to 4 mph on his fastball.
  12. Welcome! Newbie buys the first round!

  14. Here are a few quick stats for the upcoming series: Career numbers vs. Opp since 2000 Monday Sele 2-3 5.19 era vs Colon 2-2 3.07 era Tuesday Ortiz 1-1 11.85 era vs. Cotts - NR Wednesday ( the best matchup) Washburn 3-2 4.29 era vs. Buehrle 1-1 4.82 era Thursday Shields - NR (faced us for only 1 inning in relief, no hits) vs. Garland - 1-3 6.50 era A split is likely, but I want 4. BTW, sorry I couldn't make it Saturday. I'm glad you all had a great time. I hope to be able to make the next outing!
  15. While experiencing the one the best games since the McDowell/Johnson duel in '93, I was think what a shame it was Mulder(an admitted Sox fan) was pitching for the A's. A team he probably grew up hating in the late 80's. Then I thought: Was MB still pining for the St. Louie lifestyle? Too bad we can't orchestrate a 3-way trade... MB to St. Louis JD Drew and Vina to Oakland Mulder to Chicago. I figured Beane covets Drew, Bo Hart makes Vina tradable and the emergance of Harden would still give Oakland a "Big Three" Maybe I think too much during a game...
  16. Maybe E! can turn this into a reality series and get Anna Nicole to run. Is this an exercise in Democracy or a JOKE?!? Gary Coleman for Governor of California!
  17. Whoohoo. Break out the checkbook Jerry...you promised!
  18. Ummmm... no. When they started tailgating at Comiskey, they did a series of ads with Bevington wandering from Car to Car in the parking lots eating Hotdogs with fans. One wonders why no one hit him over the head with a bottle, shoved him into the trunk and saved the team. That was also the year of the "LINE SHOT" promotion with Frank, Robin, and Belle in an "action movie" "Come to ole Ballpark for Kidnapping, Terrorism and Gunplay!" A banner year for Rob Gallas and his team.
  19. Hey HSC, you hear anything about the Sox trying to add more Bullpen help?
  20. Against CLE and DET: KC is 20-5 We are 17-15 Ugh.
