Favirote Sox memory
Being at the 1983 clinching game in old Comiskey Park, at the 1993 clinching game at new comiskey park and the 2000 clinching game in Minnesota. I will keep my streak alive next year!! Who didn't feel up that girl in 1998?!? She was handing it out in the upper deck like Minnie signin' autographs.

Add Mark Grace to the list
He could be looked at as a new hitting instructor in the minor league system. The source is rather vague.

What about Hargrove?
The major issue with Manuel wasn't his laid-back style. It was the motivation and focus the team took towards last place teams and rookie pitchers. Torre is laid back, but well-prepared and a good motivator.

What about Hargrove?
I'm not sure how much we want to look like the 90s Indians anymore than we already do... Welcome to the board!

Bartolo offered "Richest Contract offer" ever
Richest contract ever offered by the White Sox for a pitcher KW just announced that. Let's see if Colon accepts.

Is infidelity ‘natural’ for men?
"You want monogamy? Marry a swan." - Robert Loggia "Jagged Edge" Seriuosly though, I agree Steff. I have been married for 5 years and any man who cheats is weak and pathetic. Temptation is natural, you just don't act on it. It's common sense. But then again I just may be

Bucky Dent? A Possibility?
According to Barry Rozner, many in the Yanks organization feel Dent would be a perfect fit on the South Side. He also was the runner-up to Manuel in 1997, but he was a favorite of JR. Bucky started his career with the Sox, and his current pitching coach in AAA is Neil Allen. (Who is rumored to take over Mel Stottlemyre's job, unless he goes with Bucky) Any thoughts? Barry on Bucky

Sox plans for today...
From ESPN.com In Chicago, a White Sox fan who works at the Pentagon and was at the building on Sept. 11, 2001, is going to bring a special flag to the ballpark for the game against Minnesota. That flag will be raised at the Pentagon in the morning, and the fan will then get on a plane and fly to Chicago

The Bullpen Sports Bar
You do need a ticket to the game, though.

oakland wins 8-1
WGin83, I wasn't harping on you. I agree with you that JM has mismmanged this bullpen time and time again. I msunderstood yuor post, I thought you were asking for Gordon because Oakland used their closer in a blow-out game down the stretch. I jumped the gun.. Cheers!

oakland wins 8-1
Sorry to disagree with you, but Foulke had not pitched in three games. Gordon and Marte ptiched every game over the weekend, and had a night off thanks to Colon. Another night off for them would have been beneficial. Gordon won't be available for tonight, but Marte will. Check your facts before you rip JM for not bringing in his two best relievers in a 6 run game.

Media finally gives credit....
Ribbie... STOP FOLLOWING ME! I'm actually stalking Dave Wills, but you're always by him.

Media finally gives credit....
Come on Steff... By the time you close the Bullpen Bar, wander over to Jimbo's, then stop at White Castle before hitting I-55...It's damn near 3:00am already!

In Defense of our Defense

By the way, Jerry Manuel has said that if Jon Garland wins tonight he will start Neal Cotts against Minn tomorrow afternoon.

A little daydreaming
Couldn't they play him at 2nd?

Should Juggernaut Be Banned?
Thats right Steff. We were in the upper deck in 2000. (I was even a season ticket holder) and we were not allowed to go down. It sucked for two seconds until I realised I was there to watch a playoff game and not buy hats. What pissed me off in 2000 was my buddy and I, who have our seats together, were forced to sit a row apart and on different ends. The Sox claimed they didn't have room to put us together for the playoff game. We sat around a big group of people who bought their tickets when they went on sale to the public and they got to sit together right by us.
